Well I finally got a chance to take a few pics. Sorry for the quality. All I had was a work light to light it up. It's enough to give everyone an idea of how it's set up now though. I'll take better ones this weekend probably.

Here's a couple more pics. One of the front bag setup and another showing the difference between the old air line and the new Parker push-lok hose.

That pushlok stuff looks bad assed! And You can get it in different colors! Sweet! So is it like a barbed fitting that keeps it together? Or is it simpler/More complicated than that?

Re: [Project] GreyScale - Shaved, Bagged, and V8'd 4-door 1st Gen

There's a few different options for them. Here's some fittings I have left over.

These have a JIC fitting on one end and barbed fitting on the other. The ones I ended up using for most of my setup have a male pipe thread on one end and the barbed fitting on the other. You can see some of the options here: airridefittings.com - Parker Press-Lok fittings.

So at 200 psi these little barbs hold the hose on? Is it like a chinese finger trap inside or something? Do you have to have anything over the outside of the barbs to make it work?

Nope, nothing wraps around the end. The tubing is very tight on the barbs. We use them for tooling and weld guns on automotive assembly lines so I'm sure they'll be fine on my truck. The hose has a working pressure of 250 psi and a burst pressure of 1000 psi. If you ever need to take it off the barb you need to cut it off the barb with a razor. I had to do it once and even with the slit in the hose it was hard for me to pull it off the barb. On a side note, the hose is also available with a fire resistant braided coating for higher heat applications. Pretty cool stuff.

On my way out to the garage now to clean up the cover a bit and start doing some temporary carpeting so it looks decent for the last few shows of the season.

Been in Austria the past few weeks. I've seen 2 non-commercial trucks here and a few SUVs every once in a while. I did see this a few days ago though.

This too

The Euro's are cool but I'm missing being with friends and working on the truck.

Thanks man. I had a lot of plans for the winter for it but it looks like they may get put on hold. Nothing's for sure but the company I'm doing work for over here in Austria is trying to keep me here for the next 4+ months. Then they want to ship me to Belgium for the install. We'll see what happens...

Re: [Project] GreyScale - Shaved, Bagged, and V8'd 4-door 1st Gen

Just realized I never posted these pics either. I threw some carpet on the notch cover the night before the U of M SAE car show. It was just some quick work to clean it up before the show. I'll redo it evetually when I do the interior. I never got to the drivers side tub because I have some wires I need to extend to clean it up first.

Back seat is still under construction. I'm thinking about rebuilding the base of it to hold 2 batteries under it whenever I get back home. Might not be till next spring.

And here's one more bonus pic with the wheels shined up

Thanks man. Nope, never. Not a big fan of them. I've had a lot of other ideas for the front end though. It'll probably just stay stock though. Too many other things to deal with now.

Haha. Well we'll see where your truck is in a year or two after you've been working on it as long as we have on mine. I can't wait to see yours rolling. So you got the Barely Legal control arms now?

Oh, and time for a new avatar man!
