Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
The Magnaflow website has lots of sound clips of various applications. http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/04trucks.asp Magnaflow mufflers, if you believe their commercials, have a scavenging effect that supposedly reduces backpressure more than a straight through muffler would. |

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I own a Mopar..... kind of.
Jeep count? My problem with Dodge is their shity ass automatic trannys. A 5 or 6 speed manual I'll take one. Seems Dodge is the only one that still uses manuals everyone else is hooked on automatics. Bunch of lazy people lol.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I put a sprint booster in the dodge yesterday. Dodge changed the ecu's to a highly encrypted one so it's taking a long time for programmers to come out. The sprint booster will have to do in the meantime. Definitely fun with less throttle lag.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I pulled up in the dodge today and I'm pretty sure the s10 twinkled in the sun and said "love me". Poor thing needs a bath. And a tailgate lol. Tail gate is in progress at work still. Today I think I shall hook up the washer jets onto the wiper blades. Then I can feel like I've done some progress to poor Bones. The dodge has been getting all the love lately. The dodge is quite litterally a "dick magnet" though. She's a whore. I can't go 5 blocks without a wolf whistle a cat call or a just plain old stare. Who knew there were so many dodge fans.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I may lift it one day. I'm happy with it how it is though. Dodge does this awesome thing where they have all the underbody components above the bottom of the frame
if only gm could figure this concept out I paid extra for the mudflaps though, I hate vehicles that don't have mud flaps and it's not legal here not to have them. Though many people don't put them on and it pisses me off. Or do I enjoy getting my windshield sprayed with rocks or a tidal wave of water in the rain from the mudflapless vehicle in front of me? Started some work on the s10 today, started to run the hoses for the washer nozzles on the wiper arms. Also washed the bed out and scuffed it with a coarse scotchbrite so I can bed line it tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll get my tailgate done next week. Then it just needs the toneau cover painted and the paint work is all done. Then onto working on that v8 in the garage. |

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I did not know it was the law to have mudflaps in Alberta, obviously not enforced very much though. I do like mudflats on though, it keeps a lot of the rock chips down, especially while trailer towing.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
It's about how much tire is showing. The cops love the 4x4s with no mudflaps, 4 guys so far at work have gotten tickets for no mudflaps. Now they all have them lol. And the s10 will get mudflaps as well. It used to have them. But my rears got torn off on curbs when I lowered the truck. So now I need flexible rubber ones. Definitely keeps chips down.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
If your offset is wrong and they stick out past the side of the body, yes. If the tire is still tucked in , you should not need them. Anyways, they don't bother us in the north, sorry to jack the thread. Back to your trucks.

Re: Project Girl with Wrenches
I do find it odd when I see duallies without mudflaps, It seems that a lot of truckers never seem to check the ones on their trailers, I see a lot of broken and torn ones on the backs of semi trailers.
