Re: Project (Garage Built '91)
yeah i was thinking that too at first, but i did some research and a 235 30 22 is 9.5 inches wide. and when im doing a 3 inch body drop, smallest tire possible is what im going for. i have seen a 235 mounted to a 9 inch wide wheels and they are pretty square on the side wall.

Re: Project (Garage Built '91)
Unless you are going to the pinch weld only, you won't be fitting those 22's under stock sheet metal.
Those arms look really nice too. But i doubt they will lay a 22 wheel and tire. They are lacking some specific design properties that all flat plate style arms like that do, which is an angled mounting plate. It's looking good though. Im liking the new wheels a lot. Just trying to point out a couple details before you start really getting going on it and then run into problems. |

Michigan Metal Works now has flat plate control arms that are bent, to give you the angle you need.

took a break from the truck to do some training out in the field. My good friend at chadcrissdesigns.com has been working on it for me. he is building me a new frame, along with a new back half.

Re: Project (Garage Built '91)
Awsome build love 1st gens the paint and wheels look great together very clean work. The back half is killer too cant wait to see more on this. one question is on the brake booster, did you just remove the booster and use master cylinder only? If so how good of a pedal does that set up have. im about to tub my firewall and stuff and not sure what set up would be best a waylayed booster, hydro, and now i see this way. any input will be appreciated keep up the good work truck looks great!!!

Awesome truck man! I saw that backhalf pic in the random Cell phone pics thread and I had to see the rest of the truck. It looks fantastic.
But keep up the good work I am definitely going to be following this build. |

Re: Project (Garage Built '91)
The tapped holes are there as the theme, my wheels have five sets of seven Allen head screws around the wheel and the whole frame will have sets of seven allen head bolts going down it. I will list a pic later after the rest are installed
