Re: Project: Foxy Lady

when your looking at the pictures in your photobucket account theres a box that has a link with a [img tag in front and back of it. copy it and past it here, you probly wont see it as a picture untill after you post it.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

Because I wouldn't be able to keep my foot out of the skinny pedal, and cops around here hate that. Thus, I drive a 2.2 auto truck, and a taurus.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

nice fox! I have a buddy who has one indentical to the black one, just with silver wheels. Hes having another baby and he wants me to buy it. He threw out a rather nice price, but i'd rather build a go-fast s-10

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

DO not get the summit racing control arms.

Have you looked at BBk or MAC for control arms in the rear? upper and lowers?

You could always do lowers and than just box your stock uppers and everything will be fine. Have you done subframe connectors yet? Relocated battery to trunk? Remove clutch fan? Smog pump etc?

BTW, get SS brake lines for the front, upgrade rotors (i went slotted) and replace the plastic bushing in the caliper with a SS sleeve one and of course new pads and flush your brake fluid and I will guarentee it will stop alot sooner than stock. I also upgraded my calipers to ranger ones I believe. (larger)

why not get summit? i was looking at either them or the Ford Racing ones. Also a strut tower brace.

no i have not done subframe connectors, but the guy befor me did
its a hatch, i have no "trunk". battery is staying under hood.
Clutch fan is still there. its gonna stay there for a minute.
Smog pump is gone.
Rotors and pads are still in good shape so they are gonna stay for now. when they wear out, it will get brand new rotors, calipers, and ceramic pads. eventually i'd like to convert to rear disc brakes.
I do have a bit of money i can play around with right now, however, i do have to watch where i spend it. I still have alot of work to do to get it on the road so i can enjoy it this summer. It is going to have to wait till winter to see any more work than i have planned right now. I also have a heater core i have to put in.... thats gonna suck.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

Looks good. Only thing I would change is the headlights. Do a one piece. It would clean the front end up.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

i keep looking at this picture thinking something just doesent look right. I hate how the cowl doesent come all the way to the window. makes it look nose-heavy, but the only hood that has a cowl all the way to the window is lift off only. thats why i went with the SVO hood.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

couple new pics... tried to keep the same angle on this one so you could see the difference between stock and lowered. Tried to run the DA sander on it today, but my new air compressor sucks, bad. claims 14 cfm at 90 psi. i think its BS. it runs for about a minute and its down to 50 psi and stays there while the compressor is running. i may try to get my old compressor up and limping and see if that will do any better. otherwise i guess i wasted my money on my IR 311A 6 inch DA.... anyways, on with the pics.

Re: Project: Foxy Lady

well, shes 80 percent sanded down, most the mud has been slung, i was hoping to shoot paint by the weekend, i guess i'll be happy to shoot primer by the weekend, which is still fine i suppose. its comming along. could be faster, but i'm trying to not rush and take my time. the weather here still isent quite perfect for cruising anyways...
