Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

there is enough room to get them out.

and i am going to either get my stock glass notched for the bars, or i will be getting a new back glass cut. I have a new gasket on the way.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

I believe the back glass isn't tempered so it can be done but cutting glass that is old will possibly break after you score it, hope ya got an extra. I use to be a glass man for some time that curve would be a bitch to cut out it may be easier to get a new one cut with the holes already in it but i could be wrong. Nice work on the cage looks great man.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

It's in the garage now.

My glass couldn't be cut. But they can cut it on non tempered I guess? They didn't have any 3/16 in stock though.

Got everything on the cage welded up and got it all tied into the frame. Gonna rebuild my dash tomorrow, and paint the cage and be done with it.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

Yeah tempered will explode when you try to cut into it but annealed glass you can cut and than get it tempered. You might want to pad the bars around the hole or even run a lexan window if it has any flex and the bar taps it could possibly break it.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

It will have 3/8" all around the bar. And I plan on running some type of seal around it. But for now I think I'm gonna run lexan to make sure nothing hits lol

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

So you just have to sandwich the floor between the plates right, after you weld the top plate to the floor? Looks legit man.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

Yeah I Setup where I wanted the plates, traced it on the floor. Then cut out the floor 1/2" inside the plate size. That away after the cage is tacked together I could drop it down to weld it. Then lifted the cage back up and stuck the plates under it and welded them to floor and cage to that. the bolted plates to bottom side of cab and connected them to the frame.

Lol, I was really not expecting that to be your reaction.

Thanks for the tire sizes I'm trying to setup rims for my truck and your truck has the PERFECT stance IMO. I'm looking at the weld RTS in black.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

Haha. Everything has a price tag!

And I doubt you'll want a 155/60 for the front. It's only 22" tall. I think smart car changed the tire size and runs a 176/60 or 175/55 now. I bet a 165r is what you'd want for an s10

Yea I'll have to bump it up just a tad right now I'm running a 24" overall diameter in the front, and i would like to keep the truck exactly were it sits now because the oil pan is so low to the ground.

New knock sensors and harness

All back together with a fixed orifice PCV and a vented oil cap.

Didn't like the breather being chrome so I painted it black.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

Redoing the halo and a-pillar bars. As you can see in the pics they are not very tight fitting. Bugged the hell out of me. Gonna use my dads expertise this time instead of trying to do it on my own hes good with the bender.

I think the tubing will be here tomorrow, so probably this weekend if my dad and I don't work we will get it knocked out.

Nope. This is about as good as it gets with hiding it. Once it's black with the windshield back it it'll be more hidden

Before. Note all the space between a frame and bar.

Now

It's a thousand times better fitting now. I tried taking pics to kind of hide how shitty it was before. I love the way it's in there now.
