Squeek, if i read your post right, your wondering if anyone ever put a luv dash in an s10? id say the answer is no. the metal framing is welded in the truck. and the majority of the foam covering the frame is cracked just as bad as mine. no one is making reproduction dashes.

Isn't there a guy in austrialia that does dashes? it costs like 600 bucks, at least 2 or 3 years ago, might be 8 or 900 now.

I am a member of luvtruck.com also.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

because on my old truck it just had a 1/2" spacer on it to make it 5 lug and it sat out a little further than the fenderwell. so now, itll be in almost 3/4" from this pic.. plus itll have a little bit shorter and narrower tire.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

progress looks great. I dont see why you cant weld those shut. Im sure they are for stock ac/heat and possible access to windshield wiper arms but im unfamiliar with the luv's layout of parts like that

You dont need them, they are for the stock fresh air vent on the S-10, i assume thats what there for on the LUV. I welded mine up on my S10

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

well i found another luv truck. going to look at it tomorrow. only wants 200 for it. he says it has the typical rust, but the bedsides are in good shape and the bedfloor has holes in it from being cut. has a dana rear end under it as well. so as long as the bedsides are actually in good shape, im going to buy it for the bed and rear end. maybe cut the passenger rocker off if its in good shape, and whatever else i need/can sell for moneys. then put my old parts on it and send it off to the junk yard.

your wanting just the metal framing for the dash? cause it has an actual foam or whatever dash that covers the whole thing... but i can cut it out and send it to ya for some moneys... thats if i get the truck, and how it looks. it says something about an aluminum dash, so it may be diff. not sureeee.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV

factory dash...

how mine was with factory dash removed. just the metal framing and a dash overlay on top.

and i think a luv is narrower than a s10.. ill measure it just to see.
