You know what, I'll just make a trip down there. That way I can see a tear drop and laugh at you as I drive off.
Its comin along man. Keep up the good work. I say at least try to have it driveable by spring. |

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV
driveable by spring????? doubt it!
by the end of the month, it will be put in the shed, and i do not plan on spending even a penny on it for a while.. i want to save money till atleast march for a decent down payment on house. im really in no huge hurry to get it on the road.. just taking my time, enjoying the build. |

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV
Looks good man. I like it.
A word of advice, gained from experience.. Put some straps under that RCI tank. The tabs they use are not strong enough to support the weight of the fuel it can hold. So just put a strap underneath it to support it, even if the strap is removable. Just something for the center of the cell to sit on. I usually build mounts for them out of 1/4x2 strap. My friend had one of those and mounted it just by the tabs, and one sheared off and it let the sump hit the ground and tore a hole in it. Left us stranded in the down town district in an intersection. It was fun to explain to the cop. |

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV
Mike from Dallas Hot Rod Parts is building tubular uppers and lowers for the LUV's. My buddy Shawny B just got some done that accepts yota ball joints since he has a 300z IRS in it (same bolt pattern). Mike is building the arms for either coil overs or bags. good price too; i think 525 for a full set of uppers and lowers.

Ahhhh the machined look was so much nicer though...maybe it'll look better with center caps, all the lug nuts, and shiny tires though.
