[ProJecT] Feel the LUV
Was on craigslist at work yesterday. stumbled across a 76 LUV.. ive wanted another luv ever since i sold my first one. so i handed the dude 350$ and we took the bad boy home!! no real plans set in yet.. v8 for sure, maybe mustang II front clip, will be backhalfed so might as well do full frame. will not be bagged. but i gotta spend 3500 before any work starts on the thing.. so im just dreamin of what i wanna do right now haha... anyways heres pics of the pile.

ive been thinking about it.. i think the coys are going to go on the LUV.. if they do i want to get the rears widened. i was thinking of narrowing the fronts, but i think ill leave them alone.

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV
I'll go with you on the static thing. But I vote for a full frame, body channeled even with the bottom, like 4" off the ground. I'd probably go scratch built front, 4-link rear (Satchel style) with coilovers all around.
I've put some serious thought into doing a truck like this. ![]() |

Re: [ProJecT] Feel the LUV
the funny thing about the luv is that it has one of the stongest minitruck frames out there..... I have known them to handle over 700 hp without twisting... the key is that they are boxed from the front to the rear and have several more crossmembers than other trucks..... the front suspension just sucks ass for baggin.... but are great for static use.... there are no drop spindles made.... but if you have front drums, all you have to do is get the disks and spindles off of a newer yr that has em
