Project: Do This One Right

I got the truck a couple of months ago in trade for a 68 Chevy c20 pickup (worst idea ever but w/e). I drove the truck for about 2 months after i got it and put it together. The plan was to block it out and just spray it white and call it done. Well after the dropt out show i saw a small rust bubble that i poked out which happened to be just full of bondo. So stripping began. the bed had numerous rust holes and bad surface rust that was covered/full of bondo. so i then decided to just strip the whole truck and start from scratch. Well here it is, so far I've gotten the interior stripped out, and the bed off the frame and stripped. Plans are complete paint, custom dash, air ride, and maybe a body drop. Well here it is. 1992 s10 rcsb, 2.5, 5 speed.

you could wire wheel the floor and if no holes are present, por 15 it. the body is about what ive come to see, typical age. anything "extremely" bad? big holes, total loss of a panel?

No. Thankfully no terrible rot besides the driver side rear cab mount (the frame mount). I'm hoping that there is not much rot on the floor boards but if there is then it shouldn't be a big deal to replace, I've stabbed at it with a screwdriver and i haven't gone through but you never know.

Re: Project: Do This One Right

Not much of an update but the front clip if off and so is the heater box and doors. I also found out why the steering was sh*t, the p/o didn't tighten up the tie rods when he put on the drop spindles.

Hopefully tonight I can get some more done if i can find anything else to do.

Yea it pretty much sucks, the truck had new cab corners put in too and they warped the shit out of the corner so they just hammered it in and put like a quarter inch of mud over it. The bottom of the doors are the same as the bed, all the rust is just full of bondo and shit.

Haven't decided yet. I got in an auto body shop part time a couple weeks ago and i think we are just going to try to pull em out and try to get em straight but it all depends on what Bob my boss thinks we should do.
