[project] crew cab extd cab

well here is a project im gonna start summer time.. the truck is gonna be a daily driver and be used for towing my blazer to shows and what not..

so it will be a an s10 crew cab, but with an extended cab welded to the rear of the crew cab, with a regular size bed.. it will be 4wd with a small lift (probly a body lift) should be pretty damn awesome when completed!

as far as drive train and what not.. probly go with all stock s10 parts and just lengthen a 4x4 extended cab frame to fit the cab, interior not set on what year to use.. other then that everythign will go together as i gather parts and ideas.. but this is def somethgin im going to do.

i already bought dave's (AVTekk) crew cab (just the complete cab minus seats and such), just have yet to pick it up from him.. next on the list to buy is an extended cab s10 for the donor parts

well here is the idea... use your imagination... soo keep posted for updates when ever the happen... btw this will all start after my blazer is finsihed...

me and my buddy just "mocked" one up but with a long bed, problem is he has absolutely no where to park it. his garage is too shallow and his driveway isnt long enuff...... if i can get some pics up, i'll do it but he wants it waaaay under "lock and key" until hes comfortable with the build being seen by many

Nice, never thought of adding the extended cab on like that, however I always wanted a 4x4 Crewcab with a standard bed.

yea but a long bed is only 2 ft' longer than a regular bed right? i guess it just depends on how much he welds onto dave's cab

Re: [project] crew cab extd cab

maybe you should buy daves frame? i wouldnt think an ext cab section is more than the differance of a longbed and a shortbed.

Re: [project] crew cab extd cab

so what are yo gona do about the floor in the truck? If your going 4x4 and lifted now theres no need for the raised tranny tunnel or raised cab mount or anything. You just gona run spacers up on the front to mounts to level it out and leave everything alone? or gona make a new cab floor?

I was curious if you were planning on a 4wd wheel/tire combo because you were planning on a 4WD setup.

picked up a 98 s10 off of ebay with 110,000 miles... all power interior, clean ass interior, 3rd door, disc brake rear, very nice body.. but with a bad bearing knock... the truck will barely run, but i dont need the motor anyways..

pics from ebay auction...
