i called a shop i know, but they looked through their books and didn't find anything. you're talking about the gauge cluster right? with the speedo, tach and the other lights like the SES light? I'll see if anyone else I know can help.

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

Ill be getting it from the dealer tomorrow. Today was motor day i got everything but the cam from Crane cams. Roller rockers, roller lifters, conical springs, and a new billet timing chain and gears. im stoked i started pulling off all of the old crap off the motor to get it ready for the build. its huge! i did some measurements and realized that the way it sits right now its going to stick through the hood about 6 inches. but i dont mind because a blower looks cool. Check out the rendering in black and let me know what you think.

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

Sweet.... I love tube work that has some style to it.

I think if you could get a silver with some airbrushing to resemble bare metal that would be awesome for the paintwork (interior or exterior). With a name like Cold steel it needs silver... not black.

Oh yeah, and climbing through windows ain't fun in an S-10 (and I'm a small guy)... but I'd do it through an ex-cab pillarless truck.... but that's the easy way out... where's the fun in that

i agree such a bad ass dime and it's getting flamed with a name like cold steel. well we all like different stuff. to each their own. that's what is so cool about minitrucks. we build them not giving a fock what anyone thinks of it. seriously, very much skill. love it. subscribes.

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

And the reason i named it cold steel is because Flames are the opposite of cold and the fire on the truck is going to look real but be cold because its on steel!

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

OK so i have been stupid busy trying to get the motor work figured out and i finally had some time to get more of the interior finished. I also did a phone interview with one of the writers at Truck & Suv www.ts-mag.com where they are going to feature the build of the truck and the interview with me in there sema issue. Im stoked I also told them about S10forum and they are going to mention it in the magazine! anyways heres a few pics.

the intake can go on either way with that manifold...

you can turn the whole manifold around and have the intake come in through the front of the motor
