Ok, i'm confused as all hell right now! Your welding the dash bars to the doors, how are you getting in and out of it? Or is it just for mock up?

No after the entire dash is built i will be cutting the gap between the door and the dash and plating the inside so when the door is closed it will all fit together.

Well Befor i got into building Trucks i built hot rods. I have never built an interior from scratch with metal. Iv built chassis and body panels and i have built complete dashes with Fiberglass. But this is the craziest steel interior i have ever built. But as far as im concerned I have the tools and the Brain and thats all i need to do anything. I hope you like it. Its hard to imagine right now but wait till its done. It will look sick!

Oh yea it looks good!

there was a truck at scraping the coast with a dash done like this... i like this idea alot... SO i know what the baseline idea is... its "simple" and i think the best things come from being simple.

I cant wait to see what shapes you have in your head for it!

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

great lookin project man. i have an idea for you...

instead of door poppers, make it window poppers.
same concept as door poppers but your doors are tubed shut. hit a button and the window goes down. then you can enter Nascar style.

just throwin it out there and truck looks damn good . great fab skills.

Well there is not going to be any side windows so sorry but your idea is not going to work thanks for throwin it out there though. Ant the doors are welded shut temporarily after the sheet metal dash is done and the body drop is complete i will be making a seam in the tubing so that a small piece of the dash will open with the door and when it is closed it will form the complete dash.

Re: Project "COLD STEEL"

Just got word from Truckin Magazine that they will be doing a feature on the Build of the Motor For this truck. Im excited so far i got B&M, Royal Purple, Doug thorley, Magnaflow, and Crane Cams on board. Next up is Magnuson Superchargers and Edelbrock! Wish me luck. Maybe......just maybe Truckin said they might shoot this truck for the cover when done. As far as i know it will be the first Mini truck on the cover of Truckin Ever! and pick up the latest truckin magazine to see me performing in a tech article called Silver Bullet!
