Re: Project: Cab Over

Front mounts welded in, they will get trimmed more for control arms and will get more bolts other than just the one.

Dash and inside roof were stripped with a wire brush on a die grinder, then brushed with por metal ready.

A small update. Got the seat frame and its supporting under structure removed so that I can start putting in a new floor. Got the drivers side cab corner cut out.

Yeah its pretty bad. But the good news is, the worst part of the rusted out areas are all available in aftermarket and suprisingly the aftermarket metal fits well. It sat in a junkyard for years with old t shirts and rags in the floorboards so it just held all the water in.

That's good though that it has aftermarket panels readily available. Beats the hell out of trying/having to make them yourself.

Re: Project: Cab Over

Inner cab corner and door jamb repair is almost done. We just have to push the corner up to the floorboard and weld and then we can weld the outer cab corner on and be done with that area.

I have the same horn on my truck. Its pretty loud. To hook it up i took a peice of steel and cut out to fit, then tapped a hole- threaded a hole to fit a fitting. I drilled holes in the adapter to bolt to the horn with a gasket in between. Dont mess with the pin hole on the horn itself or you wont get a good sound at all.

pretty cool project man.

a 350 ought to get that thing down the road pretty good. but defenitely upgrade the front disc setup since it's gonna have a really high center of gravity being so top heavy.
