Re: Project Budweisler

Big news kind of, or, big plans atleast
Seeings how i have an extra dash bezel, im going to cut it up, and fit my tablet into it, then going to connect a 3.5mm male to male cord into one of these bad boys
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Lepai-2C...50460456679%26

which will be located in my glove box, run off auxiliary power, replacing my radio with a bad ass music player, video player, and gps.

You need to take your time welding in those fillers and not get the door so hot, looks like your warped them pretty badly.

The other door looks a lot better, that door needs the dent there pulled, i wasnt 100% sure what to do, but curt_minke sent some information that helped alot!

Re: Project Budweisler

a (kinda) big update:
from this, this morning:

To this, at 4:

not a huge update, but this is the closest to being a truck that it has been in little over a year.

also, spent about an hour figuring out why the ****in headlights wouldnt work, turned out to be just a loose plu under the fuse box. cab is getting close to remounted, and alternator is back in, along with the passenger side inner fender. Its coming together now, and that is hugely motivating. started seriously looking into drops, and ive decided on a 4/4 or 4/5 with 15" steelies off of a 89 s10, my radio is getting rewired into an amp then out to doors and rears, and seats to be mounted soon.

I've also begun co-op and have 5 interviews 4 of which are a body shops. Very exciting for me.

Re: Project Budweisler

Spent a couple hours cleaning the carpet from the blazer, finally pube and semen free, have pictures, but too lazy to upload, cab is now square and mounted, paint to come soon, no interviews yet, but they all start thursday, interior will start coming back together this weekend, and word of the truck being on the road as early as the 25th, which is very promising, then the fun stuff gets to start happening.
also spent some time fixing our wireless, and renamed it:

Re: Project Budweisler

ZAP. Been away from this, wanted to post some big updates, but if gone un-employed again and am at a literal bottom for funds, will be posting updates up another project ive started with my father, 95 s10, doing a swap out of his 64 parisienne, his 283, with a 700r4 behind it, which shows much more promise then this one, there is where my current sits:

Had bigger plans, but life gets in the way.

Re: Project Budweisler

Been working on formulating a plan on what I want done, and I've come to this:
94-97 Olds Bravada Grille
Composite Headlights
Shaved Tailgate
Fiberglassed Center Console
Smoothed Interior
Smoothed Door Panels
3/4 Drop
Bolt on mirror shavers

The bolt on mirror shavers is an original idea by me, and I'll have more on that later, the center console i've already started, hopefully lay glass on before next weekend, same with door panels, I'm redoing that bezel the right way, and keeping an eye out for my grille!
