Re: Project: Brava-dime

UPDATE:
i still have no frame metal due to the holidays and the old gentleman having a massive family soooooooo i got the bed body-dropped 7" and cut the necessary 2+" to lay it flat with the cab, welded it all up (more welding but i needed a break) and this is the final (almost) look of the brava-dime. total lenth (counting rear bumper not yet added) 20' 8". i have about 2" in front and behind when its parked in the garage, no room for parking error there.....
im hoping to have the firewall all braced up and have the pedals mocked up by this weekend as well as a concrete floor plan so when the frame is built i have zero-down time before i get at it. i apoplgize for a lack of a really good pic but its hard to get it all in one shot inside the garage...........

ive been getting a shit load of messages asking to take it to a show before its dunn, honestly i talked with my boy Scotty and told him its not being seen at a show til' its running under its own power. by this rate of building tho, it might, just might be at dangerzone in march...............

Re: Project: Brava-dime

I do appreciate the compliments guys, even if i dont respond to em' all. gives me the drive to get out in the 40 degrees garage and get weldingburns, grinding spark rash and giddy with exitement. i got the pedal assembly cut, bent and ready to weld up along with the steering column bracketry and wouldnt you know it, ran outta my last roll of flux core, . paydays not til monday and by then, its gonna be like 5pm so i wont have much to share til then.
im also helping a buddy with a 99 dime bodied on 22"s so thats where im getting alot of "hands on" with the frame werk. i figure it this way, i can learn on his and tackle mine with little or no delay. again, i appreciate each and every one of you following the build. i hope to have it running by dangerzone,
im hoping brings some really good "in person" reviews, comments, coverage

Re: Project: Brava-dime

UPDATE:
been up to my old schenanigans again, cant leave the garage for more than a few hours before i get a bug to chop/cut/rebuild. got the column and pedal bracketry somewhat fabbed up. its really hard to get a final mod dunn with no floor so im just wingin it (and praying its money). the trailer fenders out of the corner and cut em up to get em on the beast, then notched the underside of the hood for flush clearance. again, nothings final,. they are pretty well tacked in and prolly gonna run with em....

Re: Project: Brava-dime

F##king sick man. Do you have a side veiw so I can see how much longer the front door is from the rear door? I like the big door and window, it will look good with shaved doors. Only thing different I would do is make the rear doors- the window part- have a small window like on the crew cab doors if you know what I mean by that. I think that might break it up a bit from looking like a limo lol. Also diggin the roof rack bigtime, although you prolly will have enough room inside the cab for anything you want to haul- kayacks, surfboards, ect. lol

i cant get a good side view, the washer and dryer are about 4' from the truck so all i can get is an angle pic. the front door measures 46 1/2" (i believe) at its longest point and the rear door measures 44 1/2" so i am 2" shorter than the stock front door, even tho it appears to be like 6" longer. trust me, as soon as i can get this thing rolling, im going to blast a million pics. im still waiting for the frame steel b4 i get that even thought of........
