Re: Project: Brava-dime
true. i thought that was why he was building the door panels that way so that he could put some6x9's or 6 1/2s or something like that in there

Re: Project: Brava-dime
i am not lookin to have anything as far as deck/speakers. thought about it but after my last truck and the system i had in it, i know i will never have anything close to it and mountin up a deck (even in the headliner) wouldnt be feezable. i might (just might) run a simple i-pod nano thing but its really up in the air. i want pure simplicity on this, no frills, spills, just a truck. i do not think i even havethe stock stereo wiring in the truck, believe i deleted it on install of the wiring harness

Re: Project: Brava-dime
What are the door panels built up for then? I figured you would have been mounting speakers in those bad boys the way they were raised.

slonlow2000 -What are the door panels built up for then? I figured you would have been mounting speakers in those bad boys the way they were raised.
honestly man, i have noooo idea why they look as such. i knew because of the window motor and wut not i couldnt have a flat panel, and with the total build of this truck as it stands, i wanted yet again something different. the raised flat panel on each door panel will get the same wood grain treatment as the outside of the truck, bringin some of the outside inside....... what did i find in my little phone after work today? pics............ ![]() ![]() |

Re: Project: Brava-dime
to be crystal clear and not sound like "that guy", im not claiming to be the first to do anything, the "woody" ford just looks intense and it took the wind outta my sails i guess. the total theme is what im out for as well.
as far as th avatar, ive never been to the site, i found that logo and just kept it, knowing id use it somewhere. i had one of my girl but the mods removed it deeming it voided some site rules. UPDATE: (sort -of) i got 3 of the 5 seats in today, gotta love fed-ex. ran out like a kid on x-mas mornin and flopped em in to get a visual. they look to be about 3" too wide sitting side by side so imma have to use my fab skills i guess to make em fit. the center seat is at required height, the 2 outer seats will have some bridging to get em to required height. the fronts are the same so i know i will have headroom finally. they "should" be here 2morrow.......... not 100% if i wanna leave em black cushiony/foam or wrap em in the copper bronze seude i bought. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Project: Brava-dime
with all the extra room in the back of that thing from being so much longer than a stock crew cab, why run such small, compact seats? You could put a regular cab bench seat back there and still have plenty of legroom

Re: Project: Brava-dime
leg rooms not the problem i have, its the headroom. i have a 6 1/2" drop total and if i tried to run a bench seat, the back seat peeps would have to turn their heads to fit in it. as it stands now, that crappy wood design i used for mock-up only had 2" cushions and it was way high due to sitting directly on the driveline tunnel (which is 6" tall). with these, i will have to mount em on a 4" base if that. they will be 3" shorter than the wood mock-up. alittle change of plans, the rear will not have 3 seats side-by-side, i will have 2 with a 10" or so seperation in between (possibly cup holders, etc) and the remaining seat will be mounted directly behind/centered the front seats facing backwards. this will allow me to: A. remove easily for 2 rear passangers if room is still a concern B. plenty of room for my 12 yr old son, he loves the idea of facing backwards C. if i have some lovelies in the rear, the lucky lucky 3rd pass. can look at em directly without even turning his head.... |
