Re: project BODYBAG
So what'ts your plan with the wiper cowl? That's the next area I will be working on after I finish up my bumper/pan. If you extend the hood to meet the fender up by the windsheild then you will not be able to open the hood regular style. You will have to go with a suicide hood or a side openening hood. Also, what bumper are you gonna run? |

well for the cowling i was going to use the s10 cowl and cut the conture of the hood out of it. then i was going to cut around the outside bodylines about 8"-10" from fender both sides (almost cut the cowling into three). but i am going to cut the vents out. just in front of the windsheild. (so the s10 cowling will have the sides that match the fender and like a 1/2" strip that runs at the windsheild). then i got the other stock hood iam going to cut the back 10-12" off. then cut the back of the hood to match the s10 cowl and the front the match the rado. then mold it all together. and cap the front so it looks nice. as for the bumper iam going to make my own as well. and was looking at how to make the rad cradle ya. i think i might have to drop 200$ and buy a rado one. it going to be really really hard to line it all up. did i confuse you yet lol. if you want call me 519-974-1817 chris Last edited by dragsdaily : 01-30-2008 at 12:12 PM. |

Re: project BODYBAG
i just got my brand new colorado rad cradle. making my own cradle would've been a nightmare. and i think i know what my color combo's going to be. frame and suspension, under side body, and under hood, orion sliver frame and gloss black suspension. sliver under body and fire wall inners and rad cradle. engine satin alu parts and black. exterior is black suide with 20-18" c5, or 22-20"c5 grey and satin alu. satin alu bowtie in grill. with tinted lights up front and back. and tinted windows. i want that stealth look. but i might change that not sure but so for this is what iam doing.
what do you guys think. |

Re: project BODYBAG
sounds good! Mainly b/c its not like mine
Sounds like you got your wiper cowl figured out. I plan on making mine from scratch like the bumper. You what I had to do to make the stock rado radiator support work right? Its mounts are a little wider than the s10 mounts. I remade my mounts but there are a few other ways to make it work. |

Re: project BODYBAG
Wow, its looking pretty good there. I would like to get into some fabricating. I need to learn how to weld.. lol Only did it once, and that was just a crash course... I always wanted to be able to fabricate, so, i'm thinking of taking some classes.
Looks great by the way ![]() |

Re: project BODYBAG
JUst Read the whole thread. Long read but very informative. Great Job on the truck man. I have not seen good metal work like that since the old days with Ultimate Customs in Ajax Ontario.
Keep up the good work. we will be having some warm days coming up soon here in Ontario. Cheers! |

Re: project BODYBAG
Did you happen to finish the inner fender? Not sure if you had decided to run the trailer fender through to the firewall

Re: project BODYBAG
Sounds Sweet. I just cleared the garage today and with the warm weather ahead I hope to pull the old girl out from the side of the house and get a start on the project.
I noticed you stuck with the 2.8. What year is your truck registered as? anything over 20 years you wont need emissions on. My S-15 is registered as an 85 with a v8 in it. so things look good for me.. Cheers |

Re: project BODYBAG
mines an 89 i really want a 350 tpi but iam sticking with 2.8 cause it was one of the fastest 2.8 ive ever driven. plus just about everybody put a v8 in down here. i don't need a rocket. i beat my wifes 3.4 camaro till about 80. then she flew by me. ive been kick in around the idea of a 3.4 with chip underdrives just bolt ons.

Re: project BODYBAG
I hear what your saying and your right. Every one has added a V8 in their trucks. an old friend did a 545 in the early 90's and was featured in mini truckin or truckin.. I have not seen a big block since. I did my V8 before I even got my license, LOL that was moons ago so since its all set up for it I will be going with it again. this time its just a small 283 chev.

Re: project BODYBAG
what can brown do for you well they can bring me my parts.
![]() just thrown on. i got to drop my front horns down about 1"-1.5". the headlights should be right at the bottom of the bodyline. i did mine a little diferent then the devious one. i did mine the way little shop of horrors did the 4 door sliver and black blazer. again they where very informative. once i get everything welded up i have to stretch the bottom of the fender down to get the body line back. then build my bumper ![]() i also made my new cradle bodymounts today at work. so i got everything i need. now i got to get to hacking. lol |

Re: project BODYBAG
Damn, good work man.... Looks great... How are you bolting that to the radiator mount? Just drill holes, and bolt up? do you have to add brackets to it? ... Sorry, not sure of how to change all that... lol
