Re: [Project] Blazer Rezurection

jack up our truck from the frame and just pull the rubber bumpstops out of their mounts. (mine came out with little effort) then set the truck on the ground to see if it drops more. measure to see how much to cut off the flat top of the BS , put back in and then you will still have a softer hit when you bottom out!

Blazer bodies are an inch higher to start with.

That's why there's so much frame showing and gaps elsewhere. I really wish there was an easy way to remedy that difference, but then again I haven't looked too far into it. I'm pretty sure its for driveshaft angles/engine clearance on the firewall.

Maaco paintjob haha
they actualy did a pretty good job, the only part they messed up on is the roof where the roof rack was on the drivers side and I dont know how they messed that one up

I wanna lose the tip bad and run a turndown off the flowmaster but the muffler is damn far back that its crowding up the rear plus I have a nice big ole dent in my exhaut pipe from my exhaust hiting it when i bottom out

and maaco? wow. how much of the prep work did you do. ive heard if you do the prep and just have them spray it that it will turn out awesome. they lack on the masking and whatnot. and what did you pay then?

I did most of the prep, roof rack, pullin dents and shit
they welded in the door fillers ans smoothed that out themselves
$900 total
more than i paid for the damn thing in the first place

Re: [Project] Blazer Rezurection

Well there goes the bodydrop idea for the tip to fit better.

J/k, looks good.
I need to do some readjustments to the tip of my own. At idle it rattles against the underside of the bumper. It annoys the SHIT out of me! I need to move it down about 1/8"... but I haven't figured out what to adjust to move it though. Some hangers may need to be rewelded.
