Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
ill have some teaser pics on wednesday. Today i tryed to get my compressors running but i cant figure out the wiring. Not sure if anyone can help me out, but heres my setup.
2 viairs 480c , 200 psi p/s, stinger 80 amp relay. im trying to wire so i can just run it straight off a switch and not the ignition since the ignition or nothing inside is wired up yet. i got power 2 one side of the relay but cant figure out how to jump the other side to get power with wiring up the switch and the pressure switch correctly. Ive tried both diagrams i found on here and neither of them worked. ahhh help |

I had mine wired straight trough a switch for a while, no relay. from batt to fuse to switch to comp and grounded comp to the frame. Worked fine, some will say you will burn the switch up. Mine didn't for 3 mo? But that was one 350?
If you are going to run a relay read up on how to wire them. This seemed to be pretty good. http://www.mp3car.com/the-faq-empori...ire-it-up.html |

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
yes sir. gonna make some prototype for guys that are bagged and bodied with lsx swaps. Basically just going to make a manifold type header that tapers into a 3 in. collector that will bolt on any ls swap s10 or other trucks. They will also be ceramic coated

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
today i got my waterpump gaskets in and installed to space my waterpump out to line the belt up. also started messing with my headers. I was gonna build them to be manifold type headers but there just wasting any room to do it. So i started making my own true headers, The driver side will be 4 to 3 to 1 header and the pass. side will be a tri Y 4 to 2 to 1 header. Sounds goofy but just trying to make them pretty simple and clean

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
old school cars had blowers through the hood, so does that mean in the future when everything is all electric guys going to have alternators comming through the hood...if so remember you saw it here first.

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
And to figure out your switch issue for the pumps you put the switch in the pressure switch wire that goes to the ignition/ hot that way you dont burn up your switch do not run a switch between the power lines lol

What if you moved it up so the line in the grill piece lined up with the top of the billet? If that makes any sense......haha

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
If you're still having trouble with the compressor wiring, here's how I did mine...you can see the relay in this pic:
![]() Top big terminal is 8gauge going to the battery, with a fuse as close to the battery as possible. Bottom big terminal is the output to the compressors. You can see two fuse holders off to the right, one for each compressor. I fused my 380s at 20A each. Left small terminal goes to ground. Right small terminal goes to one prong of the pressure switch. Other prong of the pressure switch goes into the cab to the master switch. I hooked my switch up to ignition power, but you could run your switch straight to the battery if you want. This wire will also get a fuse as close to your power source as possible. |

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
sorry its just buried in the back of the shop. To much family shit going on, and havent had the money or time to work on it. As soon as i get my house tho, where i Can drink beer and have people help me on it, it will get done in about a month. Im shooting for october to be ready for a feature shoot.
but today I did start a project at the shop for a buddy, its a 2000 extreme that had a junk 2.2 in it, putting a 5.3 lsx with all the go fast goodies. Check the lsx thread tomorrow for a build thread on it |

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
well heres an update. So long story short my buddy brought is 2000 extreme in to have a 5.3 out of a suburban swapped into his truck. well i got everything prepped and parts swapped and started putting the motor in the truck, and for clearance of the cowl i took the intake manifold off and when i saw what was in the intake ports i was like UHH ****. FULLL of water. pull one head off and the cylinder walls had about an inch of rust on a couple. SOO im selling him my 5.3 long block and im gonna buy either a ls1 or a lq4 6.0 and cam it.

Re: <project> Blad Boys Muscle Cars --shop truck
my motor in his truck!! Should be done and running this week. Still have to plumb fuel lines, swap fuel filter and pump, massage trans x member, install coolant hoses, fuel full of fluids, and make an exhaust. Cant wait. And my new 6.0 out of a 05 HD silverado is on its way to the shop this week!! I also just closed on my first house today, paid cash for it, and it has a 2 car garage so the truck will be coming home within the month to be finished, so around october it will be finished for sure. Also just bought a new ck1500 fullsize with a caddy front clip, that im gonna bag and paint! pics of soon

Sounds like you've either been pushing a lot of product or saving a long time. Congrats on the house, truck and progress. Now the question is "is he gonna get the girl?" |
