I really like how the chrome bumper compliments the wheels... but its not too much chrome. Then I like how the front grille (now) flows well with the rest of the body.

I dunno... I'm just not a huge fan of chrome on these trucks. Less is more, if you will.

We sprayed it in my dad's warehouse. Some fans and a wet floor. It was fine.

Re: [Project]: 95 SS

UPDATE

well, started the air management stuff today. spare tire xmember is out, new rear xmember made to mount the one 450 for now and when i bag the back another compressor will be added to the other. turned out pretty good for having no idea what i was going to do when i started. the welding is not mine, thanks to our mechanic John for his help with that. no pics with the compressor mounted because i forgot the hardware at home.

more to come tomorrow when i clean it all up, paint it and maybe start plumbing.

Re: [Project]: 95 SS

yeah, the color looks a lot different in different lighting. I bought the quart kit first just to see if I liked the coor then I bought he gallon kit to spray everything. and yeah, I sealed it all first with their epoxy sealer.

heh, I like the painted grill with blazer lights pretty good!

mine:

haha, truck looks GREAT man!

but have to chime in on the SS badges! definatley going to side with some others and say either no badges or the S10-SS badges, or maybe cut the S10 part off and just have the SS the newer badges wont look right and may lead people to think it just yet another person with silvy SS badges and not a true SS..

just my .2

but the truck looks GREAT man!

thanks man. I want to get the front laying and a bunch of other stuff done before i worry about the back.

As far as badges, I'm not going to have any right now. If anything I'm going to have something pinstriped/lettered on the bottom the the doors.

Got the spring pockets cut out and smoothed today. Still waiting on fittings but they should be here tomorrow. hopefully. I think I might remove the abs and pull out the driver inner tomorrow. I'll get some new pics.

It gets pretty low. Not bad lift either. I'm happy for now. Gotta route the brake lines tomorrow and put the bed back on and I'l be able to drive it. More pics then.

Re: [Project]: 95 SS

yeah, kinda at a stand still now. everything is back together and all that's left to do is tee the front brakes into the valve. but of course no one stocks a 3/16" tee so I'm pretty much screwed until I can get it Monday morning.

Re: [Project]: 95 SS

Finally got it one air. went pretty smooth. no real problems. re7s. 1/2" fill, 3/8" dump smc valves. 1/2" line. viair 450 and slim and skinny 5 mounted under the bed. gets low enough for me for now. it's sitting on the blower box and the inner lip of the fenders. inners are out. y pipe is maybe inch and a half off the ground. I'll make it lay eventually but I have other things I want to finish first. tried to get some pics before the rain was here. thanks to Brad for his help with the fittings and Sheldon for helping me through the whole thing.

let me know what you think.
