The S10 seems to be ok now. I let it set for two months in the shop and when I went to start it is made no noise. So I took it out for a "nice" drive and still no noise. The only think we can think is it had some dirt or a little shaving in the lifter and it wouldn't pump up all the way and it somehow came out. My plans are to just run it and she what happens. I have plans to take it to the Dyno this sat. so I will have some numbers....prob low numbers.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Made it to the dyno today. I didn't push the truck too far, I just wanted to be a good strong tune and be SAFE.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I'm thinking a 150 shot for now.

I have a dig race lined up this spring. 2014 Mustang 5.0 manual. He has a tuner, exhaust, CAI, and should be spraying by then. He put down 404 to the tires (or so I was told) with just the intake and exhaust. We met on the highway last summer, 60-120 and I got beat by 1 1/2 cars.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I finished up the fuel line on the truck and checked the fuel pressure.

I also installed the bottle, heater, and blanket behind the passenger seat. I can still put the seat all the way back to match the drivers. The blow down tube is just there it will go on the other side.

Also I don't think I posted the bracket holding the solenoids. I am going to make a cover for them to clean it up some too.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I wasn't happy with the way the solenoids were mounted so I mounted them in a different spot. I also drilled a hole in the floor of the truck to run the line in and the down tube out. I also got the line ran from the bottle.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Thanks. I have to admit I got in a hurry and didn't take my time on it the first time. I hate when I do that because I always end up doing it over anyway. I am thinking of a way to have a black plastic cover over the solenoids so they don't just jump out at you.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I have a good buddy that brought his drag wheels over to test fit on the S10 today. Here are a few pics. I need to get a different rear tire but the 15" wheels fit just fine and had the right back spacing.

Beef for days with those new rears, been watchin the build and lovin' it, champagne ls swap lol. I might be able to 3d print up a cover for the solenoids of you can send me proper front top and side drawings and if its under 9"by9by8high, maybe something that bolts down to that center bolt, or individual covers.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Just using for mock up. I am going to order rears with in the next week or two. I would like to do fronts now too, but damn the 17" front runners are expensive!

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Bought another bottle from a buddy. I figure 3-4 passes a bottle I might need another to play with. I used the wife's Terrain to go get it and the boys seat worked well on keeping it in place (the boy stayed home).
