I wil do both. My buddies and I all use a dyno in STL called Stiegemeier engine air flow. www.stiegemeier.com He did some polishing on the suppercharger before I got it and we dynoed my good friends turbo TA that put down over 1000HP. I also plan on hitting up one of the tracks around here if they stay open...seems like there dropping like flys around here.

I just used a polishing wheel and water at a low speed. They are coated so the water wont hurt them. I thought that car polish might change to brown when burning off on start-up.

It is the same supercharger as the Grand-prix GTP. The only difference is the way it is mounted.

I would try that if I had it but it went with the trans when I sold it.

It will not work with my supercharger set-up. It would work awesome if I wasn't using my supercharger. Merv used the same thing on his first gen and it fit like a glove. I have it for sale if you need it...

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

OK, I am back an in full force. We will have our house (second house) sold this Friday. This means I can start spending some money and time on this POS. lol I decided to ditch the supercharger and go NA for now but turbo later. Here is a few pics of me test fitting stuff again. Really need a wiring harness to start putting stuff back together.

I finally have room to run the stock F-body trans dip stick/tube. I also got some other things painted.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Did a bunch to the S-10 the past week. I ordered a wiring harness from Current Performance on Friday, can't wait for it to come in. I got all of the motor sensors in the motor, the passenger side iner-fender back in the truck with the coolant reservoir and ECU, installed a catch can w/new hoses, pulled the 4 cylinder ps pulley off (so I can install the dorman), and some other random stuff. Here are some pics but I doubt you can tell much from them.

^^^ On that catch can, I see you have the short hose coming off the port on the valley cover. But, where's that long hose going? I thought you were supposed to simply run it to an intake vacuum source.

I had to do it like a LS1. I will post a pic of how I had to do it because I don't have a LS6 valley cover.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Oh. I thought that short hose was going to the valley breather. It's going to an intake vacuum source, which makes sense. So, is it just that back left side of the motor that exhales oil? It seems to me you would "Y" both valve cover ports together, then run it into the catch can.

I have an LQ9 with an LS6 valley cover and a catch can, so I'm interested to know the hows and whys of your setup.

I agree with you 100% but this set-up seems to be a proven on several F-bodys on ls1tech. I will give this a shot and see how it does. I can always change it if it has problems.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Did some small stuff on the truck today. I took the grinder to the bottom of the intake to make it smooth. This will allow the crossover tubes to fit under the intake without problems. I also took a pic of the hose I am using for the lower hose and the part number.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Today I almost finished up the fuel system. I already installed the Aeromotive 340 Stealth so now it was time for the Corvette fuel filter and all the fittings. Everything went smooth and the filter is in but I still have to cut the steel braided line that I have running to the fuel rail.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I'm sure it will be fine as is, but are there any fittings made to adapt the stock line to accept the corvette fuel filter? or is the only way to use a section of hose, and clamps?

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I could have spent money on them but what you see is the return line. It doesn't have much pressure so it should be fine. Plus other guys are getting away with the return like that so Ill give it a shot.

Update coming soon...

Just a pic of the engine bay. It's not 100%, still waiting on the wiring harness, V6 Throttle cable, windshield washer tank, ect.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

Picked up some spark plugs for the S10 and new wires to put on the truck tonight. I also hooked up all the vacuum hoses and bolted the intake down while I was out there.

Can anyone guess why I went with this plug?

Hope tomorrow night I have enough time to install my trans cooler

if you don't mind me asking, what did that harness cost?

I assume its a direct plug and play for the factory main fusebox and truck wiring?

$850. If you pay 100% upfront it's free shipping but if you do half now and half later you pay for shipping.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

OK, I went to swap the manual shifter shaft on the 4L60E because I had the short shaft (ha ha) not the long shaft needed for the PN safety switch. While I was in there I put a new filter on too. Anyway got that done and over with. It was a dirty job but Mike Row (sp) never showed up. I also decided to paint the pan since it was off and looked like poop. Now I am waiting for paint to dry so it looks like tomorrow I will be finishing the pan up, installing some wire for the trans temp. gauge and maybe putting in the harness. Shooting for a Friday or Saturday fire up...maybe, the goal I set was end of the year and then moved it to Christmas.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

NO PICS, but I did put the pan back on the trans, hook up the wire from the trans temp gauge, install the PN switch, and start on the harness. So far the harness looks good and is going in ok. I will say it is a pain in the ass getting the wires down to the trans. I did have to mod one part of the harness. Where the plug for the alt. comes out of the wire loom on the harness was a few inches off. No biggie, I just had to cut the tape and pull the wires out to where I need them.

Does anyone have the bracket that holds the gear selector cable in place? I NEED ONE!!

That means a lot. Thanks. I know its slow and I was starting to get excited (thats when I want to cut corners) so I took a little time to just set in the cab and think about how two years ago I bought her it's not going to kill me to wait a little longer to fire her up.

Re: Picking up "Project LS10"

I bought a FAST 92 for the truck even though I already have a LS6 but, bigger is better right? lol I am in the process of running down a TB for it and I'm trying to round up some other parts that is needed to finish her up. It's still too cold to work in the shop so no work has been done on it in quite some time.

Pic of the intake...
