Re: >>Oops... I did it again ;)
Glad to see things are starting to go your way a little bit now. If it was me I would hold off doing any work to the truck until things are settled up with the insurance company. If you try to go back to them with additional damages they missed and you've done work to it, I don't know I could see that getting a little messy.
Good luck with everything. |

Re: >>Oops... I did it again ;)
simply put i can have that rocker in and the floor straight in less than a day. cab swap is probably more than a day's work, then i have a whole cab to paint... dash to swap probably, interior, body mounts that should be replaced, whole nose has to come off as well to get the cab off, we're talking a ton of work. it's just not practical. working in shops for a few years, writing estimates for a couple years, i have never done or seen a cab swap. plus, how much would a cab cost? quick search puts it right around 500$ for a cab. the rocker was 47$ my cost, 6 hours at 46$ an hour, plus 3 hours lets say for a pull on the floor... 460$ roughly and that is installed. the cab would be 500$ without the labor! lol pat it is my job everyday to research and figure out the cheapest and easiest way to fix crashed cars, so i think of things differently than most people... if i paint the ss mirrors, i'll look for that body line tho mos def |

will your company pay to have the fusion aligned? it shouldnt pull on the highway, it probly pulls at lower speed too but not enough to notice.

Re: >>Oops... I did it again ;)
I hear ya bud... I cant do any kind of body work so rather than try to work something like that back into place i would just do a cab swap. I hear you, your right you have the knowledge to put it back together and I dont. Either way it will be all back together nice soon and maybe you can do a full respray on the truck or a custom color.

Re: >>Oops... I did it again ;)
Yeah well the 3 other appraisers in my group that drive fusions all complain of the same left pull on the freeway. It may be an alignment issue, but we all hopped in these cars brand nea and they all have the same issue!
I pay 125$ a month personal usage fee, and all fuel, maint, insurance, lease, everything is included. Its a great deal honestly I cant complain |
