Re: Oh buddy

I know! I wish i could do a full frame, but I think it will be better this way. sorry about the confusion, I have a butt load of measurements and numbers, the ones i came up with are to run the tire nearly flush with the fender. I'm trying to pick up a tig/ plasma combo cart right now and have been shopping the vette clip. Located a couple of thunderbird subs at spragues havent asked about the price yet lol. I'll translate my math and measurements into a cad file or something and post it up for a double check

Re: Oh buddy

measurements laid out in sketchup give me a 1/4" gap between the wheel mount surface and the rim... not what i expected. this is tangent upon the tire though, which is more variable than i like. the tire was set flush with the fender, given a 245mm width and then the rim was positioned and backspacing created in order to set the WMS of the rims "flaoting".

I think with this in mind I will gather the parts needed and set it up without cutting first, then if i absolutely need to i will chop. The alternative option would be flaring the fender lip out a small amount to compensate for the difference.

Re: Oh buddy

yeah it sucks but i wanted some rough ideas from dimensions. my dad is an autocad/ solidworks pro, he's a mechanical engineer. I just don't enjoy doing that portion of it but still have to plan things out before I start cutting.
