Haven't had internet for a couple weeks so I was pretty stoked to read all of the updates. Sorry to hear about your dad Phil, my uncle just got diagnosed last week as well. I hope he can get over it quickly. Everything is looking ridiculous, can't wait to see some vids!

Drain Bamaged: it's from a 1950's air conditioner body.

Andrew: Sorry to hear about your uncle. Unfortunately the odds as men of getting it are higher than not getting it. And it's nice to see you and your dad have a workspace worthy I your build!

Aaaaand here's what happens when I get bored while waiting for a tow truck to come pick up my bosses car from the man cave...my dad has cast his vote and so have a few people on Facebook. So give me your input!

Hard for me to pick without the headlights on but I think I would go with the first one minus the oldsmobile emblem in the middle.

The impact bar wasn't in so it was a little droopy.

Hahaha, yeah a lot has changed in the past 2 weeks in terms of togetherness. I do like that combo too. I have the stock composites, but have a buddy (TinaBanana with the S-Tang on here) that makes aftermarket lenses for a living. He could clear them no problem.

I already plucked the emblem out. And yeah, without headlights it doesn't give the whole look.

I need input on something...

So I wanna start getting into making parts in my spare time. I enjoy doing it, people are telling me I should be starting my own business, and well, I need money LOL. After my dad grenaded the plastic plugs on my extended cab windows while trying to reinstall them, I picked up some from GM. Well, they changed their design to make them a bit more rigid, but they're still overpriced plastic. So I took the pair and drew them up, and realized making these out of billet (with the choice to modify the part that is on the outside of the glass) wouldn't be hard.

Here are the parts. I'll be making some for myself, but I wanted to see what the interest would be like...

Re: No mom, it'll stay stock...

I love the idea of the billet plugs. I broke one myself and noticed they changed them after buying 1 half, it wouldn't mate with the other half so I had to buy that too. Let us know how they turn out and how much.

Re: No mom, it'll stay stock...

Hey all.

So to be honest, I haven't done anything update worthy recently. I'll take some pics next time I'm out there of what I have done though.

Been busy poking away at stuff for my dad's coupe as it will be returning hope after 3 months on the body shop more or less getting 100% stripped and redone. Lot of issues that needed fixing, rot, etc. So my time has been going to that, and the truck has sat.

But I am still here, and other than being EXTREMELY anxious to get his car back, my dad is doing fine. And thank you all for thinking of me.

I'll have some kickass pics soon, and some news of me taking what I do to the next level...

How's about some pics of the car, with a little truck in the background then? I've been off for a little over a week now. Been spending my vacation rebuilding the coupe. Here are a few shots...

Plate I made to utilize my old valves:

Bulk of the body panels:

Leaving the body shop (been there since april) going to the glass shop:

Home from the glass shop:

Air ride rebuild commences:

New front meats:

Junk:

Out of chronological order, front fenders on:

Ha to replace the water temp sensor, thought hitting sides would help:

It didn't:

Finally got all the lights working. What an ordeal that was.

Wiper deletes

My view for lunch everyday:

Before:

After:

More to come!!!

droppedss, my condolences about your mom. I don't know about you, but being an only child, I can't even begin to think what losing either if my parents would be like. Stay strong!

And here are a before and after shot of the gauge panel. Beige gauges with the half assed machine turn is the before lol.

And yeah, I'm an only child as well, so it's been super rough. But with the words and such of family and friends, it's been easier to deal with 10x

Well, the car is "done" for now.

And the reason for no test drive. Rain. It's been unbearably hot and dry for 2+ months and with my dumb luck it's been raining since Tuesday.

Back to the truck, small things on the coupe.

For some reason it's not showing the pics I wanted in my last post at my end. It's done that before, but before I screw with it, I'll see if they fix themselves. It should be of the car reassembled.

He's a very happy camper lol.

I don't remember saying that on here, but yeah. Signs of mice and I can't in good faith bring friends in to store their vehicles knowing that. And it leaks, and it was running me broke trying to heat it over the winter. So I'm switching gears and trying to come up with a plan that hopefully involves my good buddy Bob, a storage unit, and me starting to put some of the man caves rent towards a house.
