iz ok. I'll let it slide this time. But yeah I'm glad you also thought I should take out the whitefaces and two-tone and everything. Everytime I got in my truck it was like BAM... wayyy too busy in there. it looks so much classier now

That was my original want-to-do, but they are sooo hard to find in good condition. but if I ever do find a pair, I will go back to two-tone and change my doors and everything

i really like the wood grain wheel!!! it looks as if the stock airbag was interchangable w/ the escalade wheel, correct? i have been scouring ebay since seeing your wheel selection but the prices (for less than quality wheels) is almost unbelieveable, lol. its all looking too damn nice man, congrats!!!!

Thanks man! yeah it interchanges with the stock airbag. I think my wheel was off of a 01 Escalade. The only blemish on my wheel is a tiny scratch in the leather, and what looks like a mar from a wedding band on the wood (only reason I think that is because it happened on my mom's lexus from her ring)

and yeah, I saw one guy charging $150 for an Escalade wheel that was COMPLETELY trashed

Also, Ken you got me thinking how an Xtreme kit would look. I've thought about Envoy badges but I don't really like how they look

And as for the Xtreme ground effects..DO IT! even people that don't care about a s10 complement my truck now.

I've still got brand new GM unpainted cab effects for both sides, before you go do what you did with the wheel...ask me this time

Re: my pieced together s-10 that I love

Fifth page? seriously you where on the fifth page of members projects..

and to someone who'd appreciate it,you ever thought of a power antenna? our blower box is obviously a space issue but I found a "remote motor power antenna" for tight spots, but still probably too big.

idk if you remember there was an oldsmobile,I wanna say it was a cierra? it had a frenched in power antenna..grafting that moved over to gain some under clearance would be sweet IMO. I think you should do that, and when your done you can send me the modified fender with the original hole filled, and all the body work done..paint it black too btw.thanks

Yeah I haven't been on here in a while. The hospitals I work at just got done implementing a paperless charting computer program, and I was one of the project managers... which meant 9 12 hour days in a row with a few 16 hour days peppered into the mix.

The power antenna idea is pretty cool, but before I'd do that, I would want to steal some rear power window openers from a minivan. I've always wanted to steal some from a Venture or Caravan

on another note... found an unmolested white Bravada in the yard yesterday. snagged the HVAC knobs and; although I've never liked them, they actually look really killer in my truck. probably gonna go back today and grab the grille

Re: my pieced together s-10 that I love

so my truck hasn't been getting much love lately because I've had a few other projects and work going on.

big one was this

after 40 years of sitting, my dad and I got this 56 John Deere running. everything still works on the damn thing. ridiculous

this is the first time the diesel ever ran on its own (initial engine sounds are the pony motor, then the puff of smoke and distinctive diesel sound)

then me driving the thing for the first time. still looks good imo

and I've been working on the girls car a lot lately. it's had some issues and we're gonna sell it probably. I've been loading it up with Chrysler options

-homelink on the visor
-factory 6 disc CD changer
-few missing splash guards
-new headlights
-auto dimming mirror
-infinity speakers (and factory infinity speaker covers)
-and they have a low mileage autostick tranny at the yard I might pick up since I need to replace her CV axles anyways

and the only thing I got a pic of:

before:

after:

Re: my pieced together s-10 that I love

figured I'd share my frustration with the world.

needed my emissions checked. easy enough right?

well, I've been chasing this code for what seems like a year:

I replaced my cat about 3 years ago, so figured I good place to start would be the O2 sensors. MIL still came back. then I tried the fuel injectors, and it still came back. Then I tried replacing the vacuum lines to the smog pump in a last ditch effort. and still had that damned MIL.

so while trying to get my emissions to pass, I just erased my code a day earlier and went. and when they scanned me, they told me that "I didn't pass, nor did I fail." wtf

so in a last, last ditch effort, replaced my cat. sure enough, three days later and no MIL. and I passed emissions. ugh

this happened because your OBD2 systems check was not ready yet. After clearing a check engine light your vehicle and parts need to go through their drive cycles again before they can be scanned..
It usually takes 75-100 miles to all be back to normal. So for the future you know this now .

Re: my pieced together s-10 that I love

So it's been a while since I've posted or updated. Not much to update on. I've been insanely busy with work and school. so not much time for the truck. Other than a few oil changes and car washes and a few thousand miles, I haven't done much to her. She's still running strong though. and I've been keeping an eye on eBay for the last piece to my puzzle for a while. finally found it here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231066219542...84.m1497.l2649
it's power folding. and white as an added bonus. and as an extra added bonus, it's NOS. so that's cool

and we bought the girl a new car. she was over the Sebring, and her brother needed a car

(sorry for the shitty filter, this is a pic I stole from her instagram feed)

2014 titanium focus. I wanted to get the ST, but she doesn't like manual cars. the only option it doesn't have is the polished rims, which IMO I don't think look all that great anyways. ... but let's be honest. it's better than a 2001 Buick LaSabre

I'll probably do a write up on how to install the folding mirrors when I get around to it. that's all for now!

That's honestly the best compact car you can buy. The Titaniums are so awesome! And I'm not just saying that because I work for Ford.

Re: my pieced together s-10 that I love

So I'm expecting winter in the midwest to be pretty intense, or at least that's my justification for buying this.....

just picked it up today and drove it home on a 2 hour trip. ran great. no rust on the frame, mechanically sound, but the interior is shot

so I found this gem on ebay for $600

more to come
