My new 97 S-10 project
So, I got this truck a couple months ago for $900. It only has 80,000 original miles. It came with a cold air intake. I have not done much to it yet but decided to start a thread to post my progress. Heres what I have done so far:
Truck - $900 New Tranny - $725 (beefed up w/ custom shift kit and corvette servo) Camaro SS wheels - free 2.5" wheel spacers - $200 2/3 drop - $90 (belltech coils and blocks and 4 nitro drop shocks) 3.73 posi rearend from 4x4 Jimmy - $55 (not installed yet) New a/c compressor and dryer - $165 Various items such as new sensors, etc... - $200-300 Total invested in truck = $2,400 give or take In the near future: -Install 4.10 gears and disc brakes on the new rearend. -Custom red and black interior with new seats. -Instrument cluster with tach. -2" spindles in front and leafs in back for a 4/5 drop. -Sand and primer truck for new paint.

I wanna put some covette lights on the ass end also. Not sure if I should do some C5 lights on the tailgate or a ZR1 rollpan.

Re: My new 97 S-10 project
I guess because the tranny was shot. It was some old dude. It's really clean inside too. He was the original owner. It was just sitting in his yard for months. He was asking $1,100 but I talked him down a little. There was also a new cd player and all the speakers were replaced with polk audio. I got lucky I guess.
