My high school project.
so I got this truck maybe 2 months ago and Ive been doing alot of work to it.. here is my progress. so far
New EGR New valve cover gasket New cap Cleaned the hell out of the inside and engine bay New wheels Radio Antenna Got a new bed just havent put it on yet Also got Springtech lowering kit its a 4/5 drop Painted the grille (used to be black) Air horns Painted core support and Wheel hubs Oh and grenade shifter haha Before ![]() After ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pics later, leaving now... so enjoy! |

hey thanks guys. its getting paint maybe in june same thing matte black and my friend is going to do some old school striping on it. hopefully it will look good.

No one cares about my truck... I see how it is.. well anyway I got more work done today. I got the bed on the exhaust on and started on the spindles. I also painted the back of the bad and did some of the body work on the bed.

Looks good.
Those old front springs are hilarious, must have been a pretty brutal ride. Was it sitting totally on the bumpstops? Also good so see that you're getting rid of the mono-leaves. I must say that I would of kept the rusted through bed though (unless is was structurally sketch), looked cool with the theme of the truck. |

everythings good. i'm gonna be the picky bastard and say that you shouldnt leave the caliper just hangin there like that in pic 4 on post 12. i know its picky as hell but i've had brake lines break because the calipers were hanging on them

I'd get a bend put in that exhaus to raise it up before you go and rip it off haha
I really like those wheels, but they're begging for chrome center caps, perhaps baby moons or whatever they're called?. |

i actually bought those tires and wheels from a guy here on the forum!!! the tires were cut when i bought them... they look really nice for being cut white walls!!!! i agree put the caps on it or get baby moons!!!
and as far as the suspension goes it was my dd and i just wanted to lower it as much as i could with out spending a bunch or money!! sorry mike!!! there is pics of this truck on here some where when i owned it!! as for the shifter goes that was one of the first things i had ever welded but iam getting better.... now i cant wait till i get to drive my 1952 chevy deluxe!!! |

hey guys just a little update. Its been nice out the past few weekends so I did some body work. My dad made a new cab corner and I patched the holes in the floor.. they were actually really decent for an illinois truck Ive also been doing some work on the bed.

I would paint it now but I still got a bunch of work to do on the bed, like the rails are bumpy still and glue and shit still on there, it should be ready after the weekend. I took the grenade shifter off because it was way too heavy to shift haha it was getting annoying.. Im gonna shorten it so itll be back on. I also might get an equus tach this weekend anybody know about these things? how are they? |

More progress! I sanded my bed in 80 grit and took off my bumper for my rollpan! Also took the pig off
