Re: Mostizzles dime

You can fit your hand behind the light from the top? I'll have to look again. I'm pretty sure I have to pull my bumper to change turn signal bulbs too. IIRC I tried it once before and there was no room because the Bravada bumper doesn't stick out as much.

I don't think there's enough room. I guess I could get off my ass and look.......nah, I'll wait until the bulbs show up. lol

Well I got those LED panels today only to find out that my measurements were an inch off. lol Now I'm either going to just use 1 or try to figure out a way to cut one down. Here's what the circuit board looks like, and the lights. Tips and thoughts on cutting one of these down?

Re: Mostizzles dime

Looks like the board is set up as a bus system with each row of 3 LEDs having its own resistor, so you should be able to trim the board down with a Dremel and jumper the two busses together to replace the trace you cut off on one side and have it work just fine.

Shit that's not good...what's the other side of the board look like? May need another jumper to replace a cut trace on that side...

Re: Mostizzles dime

Yeah, there's a bus on the other side that has to be jumped. I can't solder to save my life so I've decided to say fcuk it and just use the one for now.

I did put the LEDs in my front markers today...

Also broke the clip tabs off my grille(knew it), was reminded of how much I need new headlight assemblies, and noticed a stone chip in my grille. Whatever though, at least now I won't have to worry about breaking my grille while removing it anymore. I could two part epoxy the shit back together but I replaced the inserts that the 4 upper grille bolts thread into and they do a fine job of holding the grille on tight by themselves.

Hey Mo snap a pic when it's dark out. I am curious as to how well they light up.

I have 2 led panels for my dome light and I've stuck with one for now. I find it to be enough personally.

Pics really don't show how they look in person. They're a lot brighter and more yellow. There were amber 194s in there before so they looked orangy.

Re: Mostizzles dime

Well I messed with the dome light today. I found that the closer the panel is to the lens the crappier it looks so I decided to hardwire it and eliminate the stock bulb fixture so the panel lays flat in the bezel.

Pulled out the stock terminals and drilled a hole in the bezel that the panels wires can pass through...

Should look really good when a Kansas member does me a solid and gets me a clear lens from LMC. lol I might just say fcuk it and order one sooner or later.

Re: Mostizzles dime

Now you've got me wanting an LED dome light...not sure if I wanna go with white, or red to match my LED footwell lighting. I'll be installing a Blazer overhead console so I can use the map lights if I actually need to see something, thought the all red lighting could look cool as hell...

Re: Mostizzles dime

I kinda had my eye on this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-5050-SMD-...ht_2476wt_1274
I've got a couple 6x 5050 panels in the stock footwell lights that throw a ton of light...also it's from a US seller so it should take less than the month it takes from Hong Kong Fooey.

Not bad. I'm a cheap ass though, and it only took like a week and a half to get them. lol That price isn't as bad as most of the other U.S. sellers on there is.

Funny I find stuff from China actually ships way faster than within America for some reason. I've had stuff bounce all over the damn country for 3 weeks before getting to me where it seems from China it just comes direct.

Re: Mostizzles dime

damn, your package was held for 3 months? Was there any chafing? Did you end up with prune dick? lol

Here's this weekends reason for not working on my truck...

Vettebro had caliper fail which cause a brake fire. It pretty much destroyed all the brake components and the bearings in the trailing arm so we replaced everything...

Coolest table/storage cabinet ever...

Sweet Bentley...

I posted all those in the cell phone thread too so don't get your shorts in a knot if you've seen them already.

Here's a pic of my dome light at night. The pic really doesn't do it justice...

Yep. I bought it a long time ago, swapped the tired 318 for a fresh one and never finished it. Needs everything under the hood wired and all new brakes to be drivable. I also have a 400 and big block 727 for it but I just don't have the time or money right now.
