You happy with those mats? I'll get around to all that easy stuff. The next item of bidness is the steering gear and Jeep shaft.

Re: Mostizzles dime
Yeah, I've had them in a few vehicles now and they hold up great. I lost the little holder things that screw into the carpet to hold them in place though. They're fine without them. Just have to pull them back when they slide from getting in and out every once in a while. Mine were leftovers from the SLP Seeker/Xpress program. I have both sets. Seeker ones got more use and are more stained. They'd probably clean up great if I used a real carpet steamer on them.

Re: Mostizzles dime
I ordered these....
Not sure how I'm going to incorporate 1 or both of them yet. I also just got this.... Now I can shitcan the crappy paper filter that came with the cheapo CAI. I also just got some LEDs for my cluster and license plate lights. For those that do the swap in the cluster and have the bulb holders that have the 194s soldered into them Phil informed me that a lot of Fords have holders that the bulbs just slide into rather than having to disassemble and solder the bulbs in. Out of curiosity I went to the garage to look at the 3rd gen F body cluster that I have in there and as luck would have it it has the holders that the bulbs just slip into so I just snagged them out if it the use in my truck. I'll get around to messing with all of this as soon as I can. I've been doing a lot of bouncing around messing with other peoples shit. |

Re: Mostizzles dime
If you pull the cluster out of a 90s GM fullsize, they have the 194 holders you can slide the bulbs into as well - that's what mine are from.

Re: Mostizzles dime
Good to know! I saved these from my Ramcharger when I scrapped it, but I wasn't sure if they were the same, I haven't gotten around to pulling my cluster to check.

Re: Mostizzles dime
Looks identical. I love those bulbs btw, they are awesome.
Yeah I can't remember right offhand what number the small size blinker holders are but the full size clusters have loads of them, also the removable bulb kind, not soldered (98+ blinker bulbs are soldered to the housings, not sure about 95-97) - picked a few of those up as well for both the blinkers, brights indicator, and the HVAC lighting. They make things so easy ![]() Need any help with LED stuff, feel free to PM me on either forum... My entire truck is done up with them so I sort of know what's going on

Re: Mostizzles dime
I did the beandip anti-tailgate rattle mod, tracked down the rattle in my dash and put LEDs in my cluster. The LEDs look like ass and will be coming back out. Waste of 10 bucks. Maybe a couple of them aren't lighting up or something, looks like shit that's all I know. I did notice that I had to mess with the thin wire leads that they use on them to even get them to work in my license plate lights and rear markers. Who knows.

Re: Mostizzles dime
the cheap bulbs are directional. pull it out, stick a 9v w/ some leads on one of the led's and whatever ones dont look like they are lighting up, flip them 180. i tested each socket before i put them in to make sure they worked, then checked to make sure they were all going the right way.

Re: Mostizzles dime
That was going to be my first response, did you check them both ways.. LED bulbs are polarized. Are they the same bulbs like the ones JCm posted, from v-leds? If they are and you end up getting them in there right, you're sure to love them. If they're the cheap ones, results vary...

Re: Mostizzles dime
HVAC controller, iirc, is 4 of the little #74 base bulbs. I could be wrong, I know that's right for 98+... But be aware, if it's anything like mine you'll have dead spots like crazy if you don't do some serious mods to the inside of the controller case.. Mine has about 10 LEDs in it lol.
Your dome light is a 211-2 Festoon. This is the bulb I bought for mine: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...-x9.htm#photos - works pretty well. |
