Re: Her Name, is Circa. 5.3/t56 swap (56k warning)
Hey I came upon this post from a link on LS1tech.com and I have to say your building an awesome S10. I have to ask what your doing on the computer I seen a few differnt thoughts you have had and I have to say theres a guy on LS1tech that did my harness and flashed my computer for my LS1 six speed swap in my 90 camaro his name is brenden patten and hes work was far better than the painless harness I bought for my LT1 swap I did in my second gen camaro and he was way cheaper than anyone I had found out there. It was supper easy to hook up and he labels everything great I only had to hook up one constant hot, one keyed hot, two grounds, and he marked the leads for the fan and fuel pump and he put all the relays in and everything his web site is www.lt1swap.com but he does alot of gen 3 stuff he has a throttle by wire 5.3 in his 67 short bed that he brought me my harness in. He only lives about thirty mins from me which was the sweetest thing of all but I can't tell you how happy I was with the all the work he did from the harness to the tune and removing the VATS system he's the man.

Re: Her Name, is Circa. 5.3/t56 swap (56k warning)
Your project looks great, it must be tuff not being able to work on it as much as you want..I'm envious of your suspension I wanted to use the Global West uppers and Spohn lowers but I just had to have a new sport bike so there went the money...One word of advice put some real paint on the frame, get yourself a quart of POR 15 chassis black it is a semi gloss finish it looks awesome and is indistructable, buy some cheap foam brushs and brush it on, it is self leveling & flows out real nice, believe me you will thank your self later when you frame isn't all corroded because that flat black is porious and after all the work you did it would be a shame to see it to go to hell..and you can paint over any rusty areas you didn't get cleaned( P aint O ver R ust )that's what POR stands for this stuff is the best

Re: Her Name, is Circa. 5.3/t56 swap (56k warning)
i believe it dropped in price. not the global west though..thats still same price.
any rust is all surface not a big deal. frame was bare before, some primer wont hurt... Im pretty sure it wont be getting wet that much anyways (even though this is washington) the back half is exposed to the elements right now which sucks. It's too wet to clean it up, and its too cold to paint afterwards. |

My Grandfather had a "murdered out" 50's Mercury, But Tim, I think you should do your truck like flat Pink, that way when all the honda's call you gay, you'll smoke them and be like "Hah, you got smoked by a fag"

having to work with mother nature can make progress go slow and having little funds don't help either.
