Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
It won't be hard to miss with that "pretty and cute" powder coat. (Which I had no part of)
And another note, I got the rear end out last night and started removing the bolt on 6 link and making a weld on one. starting to feel the pressure since we only have another night and a half to get ready for forbidden. |

Had a good weekend at Forbidden Fantasy.
First I'd iike to welcome Redemption's newest member ![]() Here's Kyle cleaning his logo for the first time ![]() The truck got alot of attention this weekend too. Even from mini truckin ![]() ![]() ![]() The Colorado took home 1st in under construction and best engineered ![]() ![]() ![]() And the best part was the 3 hour drive home in the rain with the bare metal truck

That's a good pic of the suspension and new powder color.
I only took like 10 pics the whole time, I'm pissed at myself for that. |

Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
Congrats guys, that's awesome!
One question... how do shows judge the 'best engineered' category? Do they actually have an engineer that looks at design principles and determines overall functionality based on design and operation? Or is it just 'hey this one looks like it's got the most fab work/time put into it so that one should win because it looks best'? |

Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
lol sounds good. I know that if Max Fish were a judge I would hands down win Best Engineered for my 6link. Other people tho, I'm worried they may just look at the 'pretty' factor which would mean I would get overlooked in a heartbeat

Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
coating came out good, you guys should backlight the fiction fabrication cut out in the front bulkhead. Best part isn't hauling the bare metal truck 3 hours in the rain, it's sanding all the surface rust done or cleaning the body before the rust starts when you get back home...lol

Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
We still have a pretty long list. Mostly small stuff but;
finish up the bed sheet metal work under there hood finish the exhaust finish the brakes make a grill figure out and make a hood latch Sheet metal wiper cowl Make billet clamps for the air, gas and hydro boost lines Redo the lower link bars and new mounts start the sheet metal part of the stereo make the fiberglass center console A couple secret things Possibly a sheet metal dash and door panels I know im forgetting stuff. Maybe laidoutvideo can fill in some of the blanks. |

Re: Fiction Fabrications S10/Colorado project
This truck is amazing. Everything about it! Is awesome! I really cant find the words to express
Your crews work is more than Im sure the owner couldve anticipated. Grants work is flawless all the time too. Its like the show "overhauled" where they take a vision of the owners and make it a reality and the outcome is always unreal. This is that, Crazy, turning an idea into a reality, and making it look so effortless. Hats off to everyone who has had a part in this build. Congrats on the success thus far!

i actually like that point about the interior. thats almost the only thing that is a dead giveaway about its true identity. who knows what we'll end up doing for the interior.
