Re: f100 unibody build
monthly update?
got the metal work primed lil while ago.... my order was messed up so i didnt spray the bedliner yet. prolly wait till im ready to put the body on, do it right before then. ![]() ![]() ![]() started assembling the frame/ suspension...decided i wanted a fuelcell instead of the tank behind the seat, so i installed a new rci 15 gallon last week. also made some stainless straps to hold it in place. motor has to be painted again and then i'll be throwing it in the frame and breakin in the cam on the bare frame, hopefully theres no issuses with it! couple pics of it being put together...oh and the wooden crate is the new windsheild and back glass that i got last week. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: f100 unibody build
I really like this new rendering. But Iwould keep those openings on that front valance. Gives it a little more to look at rather than being all smooth. And it goes with the openings on the hood. Jst my opinion. Everything is looking great!

Re: f100 unibody build
i plan on keepin the opening in the front, makin it a bit smaller but still there. my buddy who did the rendering shaved, dunno why
the arms are for 70-78 camaro. i can measure whatever you like but id be shocked if they swap to a galaxie. just let me know what you want me to measure |

Re: f100 unibody build
Awesome build man! Just read the entire thing. Im picking up a '61 F100 Unibody for my son, Driving from Cali to Utah to trailer it back home. Original owner has sat for 17+ yrs. pretty decent shape. His will be a manual though, The stock shifter is friggin sweet! He turns 12 this year and we're hoping to have it done by the time he is legal to drive.
This thread has giving me a lot of ideas so far thank you!

Very nice build! There' s an old green and white F100 near me that I would love to get my hands on, and pretty much leave it alone . . . decent engine/tranny, southwestern print to cover the interior, and drop it. I love the old faded paint on it. It' s got that patina finish without having to make it patina!

Re: f100 unibody build
the cool thing about it not laying all the way on the ground is that you can drive with it aired out. i wont be making my 69 galaxie lay either. its about .5 front and 1.5 rear

dont get on here much anymore but i guess i can post a quick update. ive been building other peoples frames here lately but things are pickin up on my build again.
took it to a local show just for grins few weeks ago. still not runnin but im gettin close ![]() ![]() workin on gettin the insides ready for paint. either gunna be flat or glossy red. ![]() ![]() ![]() primer... the camper in the background will be patina'd to match and pulled with this once its on the road. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() mockin radiator up.... its for a c10 but i got a killer deal on it (new) so i took it lil issue with the neck placement, lol ![]() nothin a lil tig work cant fix
