Corey's Freshly rebuilt lq4 6.0 s10

Ok this is a good friend of mine's 1997 6.0 s10, we first swapped a 2005 escalade 6.0 in it last summer just a stock motor pretty much with a ls6 cam nothing to special but ended up running a 12.95 at the track on some ET streets so this winter he tore the truck back down and started rebuilding the motor and building more power. He started out by milling the heads with a valve job and a bunch of porting has a ls6 intake now with 60lb injectors upgraded fuel pump some other motor work im sure he will chime in and tell you everything. painted up a bunch of stuff cleaned up the wiring harness and cleaned the interior up a bunch. Ill let the pics speak for them selves.

Before first time swap

6.0 when he first got it cleaning it up.

cleaning it up again

notching for h3 oil pan

All welded up

98 dash swap

motor in

Ill get more pics of motor getting rebuilt and shit.

Weight transfer squats more in the rear end and provides better traction, kinda prevents wheel hop too.

There are actually several place's were you can pick them up from, you just need to make sure that they are the GM style eyelet leaf spring slider. Alot of dirt track shop's like speedway motor's and several other's have them in stock.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AFC-20236S/ keep in mind them are the Chrysler one's.

BTW update on this thing it spun a rod bearing this year and the motor is getting tore down to be rebuilt, also it's not going into the same truck he is picking up another Stan cab with a 3/4 and a 2.5 inch body drop. Keep an eye on this for updates!

^ correct. Truck is no longer around to my knowledge, Corey and I are no longer friends so idk what's going on with it.

Leaf spring sliders are installed in my Red s10 also, I think they ride great and still keep alot of handling characteristics.

2.8 mounts where installed. I also have 2.8 mounts in my red s10 and will be swtiching to current performance mounts due to the 2.8 bushings being too weak.
