I should have the truck there at least in primer and have a few things done to it more than now.
I'm either doing some kind of old courrier, old school bus, or somekind of old panel for the next project. But that will be a ways away. I'm buying another vehicle in the next week or two that will take some of my time to get to the point I like it. It is all factory right now and with a few small things will be a nice vehicle to cruise/ show.
When/where is Dustoff? I'll try to make it if its not too far. I'd love to check out this machine in person.

New ride is a secret until I have it in my possession. I'm sure everyone who likes this truck will like the new vehicle alot.

The bad thing is that the shocks only let it move soo much. Look at the pics with it on jack stands, notice that it barely untucks the tiny 14's with small tires.

You can go to my myspace profile( www.myspace.com/tbaggins10 ) and view the printable flier, or click on either the front of back pics of it that I have on the right side of the profile to take you to www.xposedvisionz.com for all of the info. When you click the link, scroll down to the middle of the page for all of the info. It will be april 30th- May 1st in Seagoville Texas again at C.O. Bruce Central park To get there you have to take the Stark road exit off East US HWY 175 and stay on the service road going East until you see it on your right.. Mapquest does not show the park for some reason.
This is about as close as I could get it to go. http://www.mapquest.com/directions/m...&2z=75159&2ah=
You can always call Killer rides for any info or directions at 972-287-4855 ( www.kilerridez.com ) the owner (Jim) and his club Xpozed Visionz put the show on every year.

Cool thats only about 3 hours away, and I'll be on leave that weekend. I'll definately try to make it down for that one, if I'm not on the road. There's a slight possibility that I might be on my way to New Jersey, but so far I'm planning on leaving on the following Monday. Hope to see ya there with that badass LUV.

Re: Bodydropped 78 Chevy LUV...

Cool, sounds like a pretty big show. Unfortunately I have nothing to show (or worth showing at least) but maybe next year that'll change. By then I hope to have the '52 at least rolling, if not driving. Dunno if they'd consider it a "truck" or not tho (it was designed and built to haul things, sorta...) Anyways, I'll still head down there as a spectator this year. Sounds like it'll be a blast.

Re: Bodydropped 78 Chevy LUV...

It is free for all spectators, even with rain and some mud last year it was a really good show. The year before had some rain, but not too much, it progresses alot every year.

I work for Comm as a network admin. I feel ya on the leave thing. I was stationed overseas for my first duty station too. Over the whole two years I was there, I took a total of 5 days of leave, and only because they made me do so(use/lose). Any idea when you'll be coming back?

my neighbor still ahs the stepside that he wants to sell. i got a good look at it the other day. the body is in great condition. the handles have been shaved and its got some seats in it. over all for what he wants its a good deal but i cant afford to take on another project right now. the paint is probably the worst though. its a charcoal metalic with turquoise and pink zig zags. the pin striping is all drippy if you look at it close. it has a buik v6 and runs good. i think he wants like $2500 for it. ill try to snap some pics for ya if you want

I like the badges on it.
I'm going to do no more updates until after Dustoff (April 30th-May 1st)

I want people to see what a difference a few weeks of not seeing it will be like.
It should be worth the wait actually seeing paint on it, and it cleaned up really good.

But I may post an update or two before just because I love the feedback. Right now the plan is to keep what I'm doing a secret, which is not really anything besides straightening it and cleaning it up/ priming it.

WOW!!!
I have to say that you have alot of dedication to this project!

you should send all the bondo you took off the truck back to the bondo people so they can see where all there profits went to... LOL

plus with all the bondo gone, you can take 2 seconds off your 1/4 mile time for all the weight you lost.

I have other things to work on, so I'm not going to get burnt out. I'll be working on something else, looking at it planning out what to do next.
When I finally do put the motor I want to put in it the bondo will not matter too much to be honest.

Yeah the Untied States gave a shitload of these things to the Iraq Police. I believe over a hundred got stolen on the first day of distributing these out. BTW The LUV stands for light utility vehicle.

Finished cutting off the drip rail, put the bed back on, cleaned the inside of the cab out. I'll post pics in a few days, I have been busy with the Blazer and the new ride, and a few other peoples vehicles.

I changed my mind for paint for dustoff. I'm going to go over everything with a wire wheel again and get it nice and smooth and leave it like that for the show. I'm most likely not going to touch the tailgate or lights, so I don't want to put any primer on it until th body is ready for it.

Most likely going with a new bed before I do any of that. I'm still not too sure about the bed.

Definately. I may do a few things with this one, otherwise it will be used for scrap. Be nice to use some of the body line on the side of the bed in other parts of the truck, make a couch or big chair for the back patio, or just cut it up and make something funny.

Re: Bodydropped 78 Chevy LUV...

Thanks. I may try to take it to Showfest in a week and a half if I can get a trailer and all again. I'm going to be working on my Cedes alot between now and then, so I may be able to take it so I can actually drag on the strip in my own ride.
