how in the hell did that rim get so destroyed? thats incredible.

massive potholes

well i got off work early and came to work on the truck, i called coys and will hopefully place an order today on 2 20s. i mounted one of my rear 20s in the front and i forgot my battery is somewhat in a stock location. the tires are 255/35/20. debating if running a smaller tire would work, my tubs still have plenty of clearence

i have "heard" out here in cali. that if you snap a decent picture along with measurements of the pothole, time of occurance along with the damaged rim/tire (whatever else might have been damaged) that the city has looked into the claim and has payed for the damage. its a long shot but its a shot. i do feel your pain as well as honor of driving customs and theres nothing like it. keep it up man!!

Your crazy. Your 225/40/18's have a side wall of 3.540", and the 20's with a 255/35 your thinking about have a side wall of 3.510". Not much difference, but if it happened once, it can happen again.

I'm not trying to be the only guy in here saying don't do it, I just don't want it to happen to you again.

yeah i understand nate, i went ahead and ordered 20x8.5 with 5.25 backspacing. im gonna maybe run 245/35. i just gotta be more careful. i know tons of people run rubberbands and are fine. not saying that's what i want just what will work with being cautious

i hated the staggard look and didnt wanna spend money to go back to what i hated. the potholes i hit were literally 10 inches or so deep, and they where craters, not smooth bumps

You sir are correct. Most states will. I had some 20"s with brand new nitro 555's on em and bent my wheel in AZ. Called the city the bought me 4 new wheel and tires and had the pothole fixed in like 3hrs. Sucks that that happened to your wheel man. Look at it this way. Forces you to upgrade lol something I'm sure you wanted to do anyway. Looooooooove the truck. Looks awesome. The whole build is great. Congrats on being able to cruise it around. Great job !
