Re: 93 bodydrop

The RE-7s fvckin rock! I showed the lift in a pic above with 125 psi and a firestone 2500. I set that same height with just 80 psi. At 100 psi I'm way above the tire and is the highest I'd ever ride at. I'm definately finding a day to do this install on my daily driver cause I've been planning it and already have all the parts for it. Now its time to get to the 4-link and also start tweeding the rest of the interior parts.

Re: 93 bodydrop

That's 100psi. I can't wait to put these in my daily driver.

I think I'm finally gettin to it tomorrow. I've been tweeding the interior more since I finished the front. Tomorrow I'd like to atleast get my pinion angle set, the axle tack welded into place with some steel, cut out the old crap, and start making measurements for the link bars and crossmembers.

Re: 93 bodydrop

I did some measuring for the 4 link tonight. The old setup sucks!! I measured 10 degrees in change with the pinion angle through its travel. I'm glad I decided to cut all that crap out and start over with my own setup.

Re: 93 bodydrop

Haven't done much lately except some tweed work here and there. I did get a ton of free steel for the link bars and crossmembers though.

The headliner backing was in rough shape, but was the best I could find so I made it work.

Some of the steel I grabbed.

A bung already welded to the bars I would use for lift bars, but they are 1"-8 threads instead of 1 1/8.

ehhh, a bunch of hardware that came off the legs, thats only half of it.

Re: 93 bodydrop

old shit is out and I'm gettin the 4-link made this week. I think I'm going to get rid of the chrome 4-link all together since I'm not showing the link bars, why have chrome. I took out the old rear cause it was a pain to get the plasma around to cut off the old brackets and tabs. Plus I'd have to grind down all the old metal left on it.

Re: 93 bodydrop

wow. 7 months later and I'm just finishing up the upper bag mounts. 4-link is in place and I'm getting ready to move it to my new house and 4-bay garage. I'll take some pics in a few days.

Re: 93 bodydrop

The dash i did myself. It was the first one I did so it didn't come out perfect, but I'm happy with it. Thanks for the compliment on it.

Re: 93 bodydrop

I won't take credit for the diamond plate frame. The previous owner did that and in person it looks like shit and isn't square. I was gonna re-do it, but I just wanna make it a solid driver. I'm not trying to make it perfect to the eye.

I did. I cut out the old 4-link shit to make it forward cause the reverse got like 12 degrees of pinion angle movement. This one gets 3 at most.

Re: 93 bodydrop

So I finally got the 4-link done and brought it to my house today. Unfortunately my upper bag mounts were shit. I didn't fully weld them before I trailered it and they bent like hell. Bad design, live and learn. I'm using 2x2 box tubing this time and connecting the crossmember to around the notch area and bolting the bags to that somehow.

Here it is in its new home next to the yota. Finally.....

Whoops......

Re: 93 bodydrop

Rims are 18x8 and I wanna say the tires are 225/40 R18, but i'm not positive. I'll double check tomorrow for ya. The sidewall isn't too small and they lay just before the tie rods hit the frame.

Re: 93 bodydrop

How bout this? I didn't make any brackets for it yet, but got it down from the loft and thought it might work. I want a bumper to lay without a cut in half air dam.

Re: 93 bodydrop

a toyota bumper from like a mid 90s. It lines up pretty well, which I'm suprised. I gotta figure out the mounting brackets though. First things first though, getting the upper bag mounts welded back in.
