I agree on the roll pan and I'm not a fan of the chrome trim around the fenders, but thats just me. Looks awesome though love the color, and nice progress. Did you/are you going to wetsand/buff everything??

Hey thanks dude. That guy waving is one of my homeboys from the hood. He stopped by to see my truck when i brought it outside for the first time. I do have to say chrome does make just about anything look good. Thanks.

Don't get me wrong I was down with the roll pan but i had to get the bumper cause i pull my trailer to carry my four wheeler and dirt bike around to ride back at the swamp. Thanks. I already have wetsanded and buffed the whole truck. It took a while but man, I never knew how much that would help the paint look so much better.

Re: 91' S10 Restoration. Family Rebuild.

He is the bed liner! It was very easy to put in. The product we used was called Raptor Liner by U-POL. The kit came with a aluminum gun used to spray the bed liner and four bottles of bed liner spray along with some hardener. The cost of it all was only like 95 bucks! I went and had and estimate from Line-X and wanted like 200 and some odd dollars! Plus Line-X is to gritty. The Raptor Liner is very smooth and when you put wax on it it shines very nicely in the sun. So Here are the pics.

Finally All Done With The Body and Bed Work. Had so much fun and would do it all over again in a second! The complete something and to say you have rebuilt and restored it all by yourself feels so dang good. The bed liner makes such a big difference. Just take a look!

Here is the interior all cleaned up. I hope this winter I can redo this. I am looking forward, like i said in the begining, to put the saddle color interior into my truck but for right now I work with what I got.

I made these custom window cranks. All i did was grind down the original knob, bought two small dice shifters, slid and glued them on to the ground down knob, let it sit for a while and put them on.

Since then I have put on window reflectors and gotten the backglass tinted. In a few days I am making a new custom gauge. I will take pics of the whole process and post those when my materials come in the mail. Thanks everyone for the comments and I will be posting more pics soon. Thanks Again To Everyone!

Beautiful truck, love the paint. Not a hige fan of the chrome fender trim or the dice, but hey, its not my truck. And thats crazy clean for a first gen, it would look great dropped 3/4 on a set of 17 or 18 inch billets. Sweet ride.

Yea. I finally relized how goofy they look. I took the fuzzy's off, and i'm putting a different shifter knob on. I'm not sure if i want a spaid or a pistol grip shifter (its really ghetto lookin, haha!) but i haven't decided. I was a little dice crazy last year! But it's all good now. Thanks.

You know that isn't a bad idea. Just might do that. I may invest in some white walls though cause I think those would look sick.

Thanks a lot man. I really appreciate it. I had so much fun restoring this truck with my pops and I hope to do one all on my own soon. I can't wait till the holidays cause my parents are getting me my drop kit and I'm super stoked! Stay tuned. More pics are still to come! Thanks again.

Damn, that looks great. I'm glad you got rid of the dice, they looked a little tacky on such a clean truck. (I'm not really feeling the pedal covers for the same reason.)

A decent drop on those wheels will look even better.

I would get a 3/4 cause you will not be happy with a 2/3 i had a 2/3 on my old truck and hated it my new truck has a 5/6 and i love it but i dont think you wanna notch your frame and shit.

Thats what i was wondering. I was trying to think if the 2/3 would make a big difference visually but the 3/4 was questionable cause my 91 is my daily driver and my only vehicle plus i wasn't sure how much work was involved. My dad won't let me do too much fab work to her, which sucks, but he said i could drop it so... I'm gonna look into it a little more but i might invest into the 3/4. Thanks for help. Much Appreciated!

Re: 91' S10 Restoration. Family Rebuild.

It been a couple of weeks since i posted some pics up and soon I'll have some more. I'm about to start to put in my new gauges and I'm thinking about putting in some neon inside the cab. I saw someone had put some neon strips inside there air vents so I might do that also cause it was sick as hell! Hit me up and tell me what you think! I'll have some more pics coming sooooooon!

Thanks Man. Much Appreciated. It just takes time and if something doesn't look or feel right just redo it cause you don't need to rush to get something done. This truck was a learning experience for me and boy did I want to get my truck done but patience was the key and I soon learned that. Haha. Thanks Again.

Re: 91' S10 Restoration. Family Rebuild.

So I've Been Thinking Lately? What If My Bike Had Bags On It? Huh You Might Ask? Let me explain. I got this lowrider bike at a yard sald last year and I have been work on it on the side, just removing the stickers, redoing the seat, adding chrome, and adjusting the suspension. I took the spring out and droped it all the way but when i parked it, she always fell over cause the kickstand was to tall. Instead of cutting it, I thought it would be cooler if made a bag for it. I spend today working on it and this is what I got so far. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

I hope I have time to paint it the same as my truck even though they the bike is already similar to my truck, just not as dark.

Re: 91' S10 Restoration. Family Rebuild.

Here is how I made the bag. Quite simple you see. All you need are what you see in the first pic.

Cut an extra inner tube in quarters

Then cut those down the middle. You'll see what these are used for in a minute.

And Here Is Your Airbag.

Here It Is Filled Up.

My camera died earlier and I didn't get to many good shots of the bag in action so I'll post those pics when I get some new batteries. Thanks.

Thanks Man. Much Appreciated. I had a tough time choosing when I first got my truck. I went through all of what I liked about each gen but it came down to the first gen S-10. I think they just look so much cleaner and nicer. Don't get me wrong I love the second gen too, but the first gen is closer to my heart. Haha. Thanks again.

Thanks a lot man. I try to keep things posted and keep the thread open. I must say that restoring my S-10 was something that I will always look back and say "I'm glad I did that." It was so much fun and my dad's help, I couldn't have done it with out him, I was an awesome experience. I want to do another project but he won't let me till I'm outta school. Haha but its all good. Re: 91' S10 Restoration. Family Rebuild.

Hey Everyone. Haven't Posted anything in a while so I thought that I would post my pics of the my gauges that I had redone. I bought the white gauge kit off of ebay from whitegauges.com. I went on very eaisly and looked great with just the plain gauges face. I also had bought a cluster cover bezel for my gauges. I didn't wanna just go with the stainless steel on so I bought a deck of cards and covered the bezel and cut it out so you could see the gauges. I just used super glue apoxy to glue em' down and then sprayed them with clear coat. Very Easy to do. I think that it blends well with the dice window cranks and my eight ball shifter. Haha. I hope to soon take out my dash and paint it and get new seat and carpet but that probably will have to wait. So Here Are The Pics.

Got the cluster out!

Here are the white gauges.

Here is the bezel.

THE AFTERMATH!!!!

Here It Is Complete! I am really satisfied with the way it came out.
