Re: 65 ford shortbed
Did you torch out the holes for the motor mounts? I just found out I could do that.

Re: 65 ford shortbed
Personally I am not down with the torched/plasma d holes. The bolt will have a little play in it and over time, it will probably elongate the hole enough to wiggle a bit. Plus, I personally think it looks unprofessional (but what does my opinion mean, that's right absolutely nothing!) It's amazing how easily you can drill holes with a drill press(night and day over a hand drill and a vise)
It looks dope though! I have a thing for fyords! t |

Re: 65 ford shortbed
its cool.
i just havent done a ton of internal engine work before. i can swap cams and such, but id rather have someone that does it alot and is second nature to em... i had a buddy lined up but hes too busy...theres a dude on craigslist that'll assemble em for 500bones, but damn thats a bit steep ! |

Re: 65 ford shortbed
ya 500 bones seems alot for that amount of work it wouldnt take a pro 2 hours to do it right if he is just putting them in lol they do it on spike tv all the time in 15 minutes hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha sorry i had too. |

Re: 65 ford shortbed
500 bones is pricey even in CA. Assembly should be around $350-400 as long as theres no machining involved. If something has to be machined then it gets pricey. Its easy to dump a few grand in rebuilding a motor.
