Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Just got done updating the project photo gallery on our club site. There's about 140 pics of the install along with some extra info. Feel free to check it out if you're looking for more detail on the progress.

Just seeing how things fit. The bench seat is about 3" off the floor.

82-93 S-10/Blazer Fillers

They're the only set I could find that had the body line. There's still a lot of work you have to do to get it to fit. Doug at Street Issue Customs has been a great help. That's where I'm getting all my led's too.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Thanks man. It's feeling good knowing I'll be driving it within the next couple months.

Lenses are in and Pooch has been getting them sanded down now when he's not working on the bodydropped S10 next to mine.

And I'm working on cleaning up the wiring under the dash and installing a new shifterless column.

wed rather not talk about it, it was um... eventful to say the least. we ended up taking it apart like 3 times. because wed forget a screw here or a part there. as long as you have more than half your brain working it should take more than 2hrs.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Haha. It's not THAT bad. Most of the extra work was just because I wasn't familiar with things and wasn't paying enough attention when I changed out the lock cylinder.

The bigger issue is the mounting plate that mounts to the firewall. I'll get into that on Monday. The hole pattern isn't the same as the old column. I have NO clue why they would have different mounting plates but they do. Hopefully I can get 1 hole to match up then drill out the other holes to match the ones on the firewall. I'll let you know what ends up happening.

Poppers, poppers, poppers. 1 in each door, 1 for the glass release, and 1 for the gate release.

The more we customize this thing the more things it has in common with Jiffy Pop. What's up with that?

Go with the ones from SIC man. Just remember, all tail light fillers are going to need some trimming. After trimming the filler weld the filler in so the edge of the filler bodyline meets up with the lower edge of the truck bodyline. The upper curve of the bodyline has to be made by the welds you put at the top of the filler. Pooch also made about 10 vertical cuts so the filler bodyline could be more closely matched. Like I said, no fillers are perfect...

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

Here's a better picture of the filler welded in with the cuts. It's not perfect but you can see the vertical cuts up top that let him match up the bodyline better.

Re: 4-Door Love project pics

haha, it because all the real major stuff is done. the only work being done is either alot of small shit like wiring or were working on the B/D. We welded in the fillers for the front bumper the other day while Doug fixed the starter ground.
