Re: 3+ years in the making

got both quarters on last week/weekend, and shaved the gas door, i put some rattle can black around the bare metal since my garage gets damp inside sometimes, so rust forms quick... btw these were a total pain in the ass to put on, i shoudl have bought full quarters, but ohh well...

and then i bought 100 sq ft of fat mat.. shit worked out great! i used about 80sq feet id say inside

i got tired of all the times i had to pull my dash of having to cut wires/ disconnect stupid spade connectors, so i bought a guage wireing kit, so i can disconnect the guages very easily..... soon to be wired in...

many reasons why i put new quarters on... i dented both quarters putting my wheel tubs in, passengers side had a rust spot coming through, both quarters were patched around the wheel arch... so when it all comes down to it i wanted a solid platform for the sheetmetal and no more rust issues... and ill have a nice and crisp wheel well arch rather then one with bondo...

ohh and it was painted almost 2 years ago, so it need some freshing up, since ive taken it apart liek a million times... lol

Thats for sure on the clecos / kwiklocs . They are worth their weight in gold to anyone that does sheet metal work .

Re: 3+ years in the making

You have a 2nd gen front bumper on there? I guess I missed that or forgot about it, but it looks good. I know how it feels to get the truck out of the garage after a long winter. Are you going to Carlisle this year?
