Question 2wd S10 crew cab

Just bought this over the weekend. VIN number according to the insurance company shows it as a 2wd. Could you special order one from Chevrolet? How can you tell a conversion? Used to belong to someone that worked fro MSD ignition parts. Anyone have any info? Thanks

Look and see if rear cab mounts were added? The xcab front bed mounts would have to be swapped out for em. Thats what I plan to do to my truck if I don't sell it. Since the kid came along my xcab just isn't usable anymore so all it does it sit in the garage.

Re: 2wd S10 crew cab

Was looking ay 1992 TPI Xcab but the wife talked me into this for the kids. Might do an LS conversion later but it only has 75k on it. Will wear this out before I change it.

I think I talked to that guy several years ago when he came through for Power Tour. It's a 2wd ex cab chassis under it. Seems like it was for sale in the classifieds on this site a few years ago too. Seemed like he wanted too much money and it had a ton of miles on it.

Re: 2wd S10 crew cab

Full Belltech kit, tuned, new tires, cold air intake, tonneau cover & much more. Title, odometer & carfax match. Gave him $5000 cash for it. He was not a car guy & had only had it for a year. Super nice guy. Needs a few nitpicking things but I couldn't build it for that. Nice starting point for what I want. Happy I got it.

Re: 2wd S10 crew cab

When I insured it the VIN said it was a 2wd crew cab. Not sure. Picked up an LS motor & trans for it today. So much for waiting.
