This forum is harsh on things that members really do not like. the majority of this forum really likes a clean simple, tastefully done truck, with well thought out mods and plans, rather then just throwing a buncha parts at it. I've been building my Sonoma since 2003 with the help of some great friends. I have NEVER been able to secure a sponsor, although I am working on changing that now that I have a bit of exposure again with the truck being out there. But nothing is guaranteed. I've certainly not paid full price for everything on my truck, but most of that has been to wheeling and dealing, or knowing somebody who works at that company. or for instance, when we shaved my truck and painted it before the flames, the stock hood was given in payment of the paint work on my cowl hood etc.

Unless you come full bore with a rendering, build plan/schedule, and show you have lots of parts, ideas and resources to build a crazy, one-off s10, they are just going to ignore you. I've got a rendering done, with the companies logo's of stuff I want to run, with a good, but not to long proposal letter, outlined with what shows I will be going to, how I will represent their company, how/where I will run their logo etc.

ok enough about the the whole not typing "what " out its done and over with and im just starting the damn truck so there isnt much to look at and i ma on low buget sense it was wrecked i had to fix it and the pics of the fender on the ground was when it was being sand blasted and cleaned off ...those were the new/used fender and hood that i put on the truck ...

people need to just chill on here and breath lol ...i know a lot about s-10s i didnt say i knew everything and that wheel isnt eight lug its a universal rim ...but anyways i got a rebuilt 4.3 coming . it has had some small upgrades to it just bored a little and all from what i am told its putting a little over 200hp out i haven't got all the stats form it yet but its a buddy of mines and i'm getting it for 200 dollars sense i did some work for him ...if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for the interior i would gladly take them because i have no idea what to do in there and about sound system where to put subs so that the passenger can actually fit in the truck without being smashed ...

so here is an update ......when i went to get the 4.3 the guy didnt have the harness for it so i couldnt just hook it up in my truck so i had to go and try to find one and finally luck was on my side and my g/f uncle works with a guy who collects s-10's he has like 30 of them no joke and he said for 20 dollars i can go into his lot and whatever i can fit on the back of my truck i can have so ...i handed him 20 dollars and headed in i ended up with a nice set a seats and interior a bumper front and rear and my wiring harness and ecu and a set of rims .....i almost got a 2001 ext cab step side from him that was in good condition just some small dings and dents but i didnt hae the money for it and also it was a 4.3 5 speed

so i got what i could get and i also got some head lights and stuff and small things but yeah so im set for now but he said the 20 dollars deal was a one time only thing next time it was gonna be 50 ....so yeah but i got what i need just need to get my garage cleared again to get my truck in my dad has his truck in my bay doing a trani so i got to wait...

well once you get it painted. order a nice bag kit (sd back half) something easy and bolt on, will save you time and cash in the long run and it will be done right, any retard can put on a bolt on 5 link, not saying your a retard. Unless you have good welding skills then you can build your own. but once you paint it and bag it, should be a pretty nice truck, and reliable!

Just a hint: take all of those periods that are clumped together (....) and instead put one at the end of each sentence. People, including sponsors, may take you more seriously that way.

if you want a decent street suspension i would look into coilovers in the front and some type of link in the rear. i wouldnt bother with trying the make the 4.3 quick and streetable your best bet will be lsx by far.

Bolt in SD C notch is is literally a bolt in notch to clearance the rear frame rails above where the axle is so the axle doesnt smack the frame if you are lowered far enough in the rear.

If you don't go with black again, you're going to have to paint the engine bay and door jams or it will look like every other puff canned Honda out there (black paint - red engine bay for example). Thats why I'm repainting mine white this winter so i dont have to deal with that headache.

ok first of all the truck doesnt have a 5 point that is the acura nsx that is just a pic of me . the 2.2 is being pulled out and the duct intake is because my stiock was crushed in a a wreck so im just having that for now until i get a new engine the truck will be put in the garage for the winter to work on im getting a 98 civic hatch e.k.g for a daily while i work on truck..

ok i know its been a while and i may have a few haters out there but i have done my research and fixed my flaws and now i am set . and some of you were right about needing to do more research i thought i knew a lot but i didnt know much at all . but lets put that in the past and really get to work now shall we ?
I have changed my whole view and idea about the truck i dont want to do the whole engine swap and all anymore its just waisted money that i could put into the truck looking way better then it is now . why take out a perfectly running engine ? so im leaving the 2.2 in there and cleaning the truck up making it a smooth simple clean truck . lowering it around 4/4 for now im thinking may go lower .but i need help i am looking for parts and how to . i need front valence and roll pan. any sound system parts subs to wires . lowering parts blocks springs ect...im on a tight budget now sense college effed me over...thanks

Just a hint: take all of those periods that are clumped together (....) and instead put one at the end of each sentence. People, including sponsors, may take you more seriously that way.
