The new whip!

Well as some of you may know, I got rid of the S10 about a year and a half ago. Since then I was rockin' my mom's old 2000 Camry. Well, now that I'm out of college and sporting a job, I bought a new (well, almost) car with the first paycheck. It's a 2006 MazdaSpeed 6. 274 awhp, turbo I4, tons of fun and good for winter. Minor plans for now, we'll see how addicted I get to boost. Here's some pics a couple Mazda friends took for me, let me know what you guys think:

Just for 2 years. It was made to "compete" I guess you could say (even though it'd get killed) with the Evo and STi. Mazda added a nicer interior and subtle looks to head after the corporate business people who wanted the sports sedan without the OMGWTFBBW!!eleven!!11!!! spoiler and cheap-ass interior.

You didn't know they were turbo'd because Mazda didn't market the car worth a shit, and they only made like 5k of them per year so you don't see them too much.

It does the job for me, it'll be a fun little project to work on.

If they didn't make the Speed3s a damn wagon I would've considered it. However with the nasty winter we had last year the AWD is nice considering the amount I travel for my job. Launching is fun too

You got it sir.

I didn't go with the 'vette for so many reasons. 1.) It was getting late in the season 2.) I'd be pissed having it in storage for 6-8 months after just a few months of owning it 3.) This was over $10k cheaper 4.) This is much more practical for year-round driving 5.) I need to move out, then comes the REAL fun.

I'm down. It's about 220 awhp, plus they're heavy as hell. Damn AWD is fun but it comes at a price!

Shy of $300. My rent payment in college was $315 so it was a justifiable expense.

I have damn good credit lol. Stock internals I've seen up to 22-23 psi on an upgraded turbo, stock turbo they're pushing about 15-16 psi and can safely run at 17-18 psi.

After 5k rpm they pretty much quit (damn throttle plate won't open up anymore), but there's a company that cracked the code in the ECU and for $400 the ECU reflash opens the plate, netting 10 awhp, and 50 tq!

These DISI engines are torque monsters (relatively speaking for a 4 cyl. of course), and they're a blast to drive.
