Retro S10 pics

Here is a couple pics of my truck since I finally cleaned it up some. First shots with any of my vehicles together. They are hardly ever all together in the same place at the same time. Sometime I want to get all three together for pics. Anyway.....

Re: Retro S10 pics

Thanks. It's been a long time coming to get the thing bagged. The front doesn't lay out fully because I'm hitting on the firewall and heater box. I've got more stuff in the works to go with the "traditional" theme. And I need to fix the dent above the gas filler door. It pisses me off seeing it everyday.

Looks good...and above your gas lid is already pre dented so when you shave the lid, you wont have to worry about warpage so much

Re: Retro S10 pics

What sucks is that I can't drive it yet. My tags expired while it was getting bagged. Now it's back together and I've got to do all the pain in the ass DMV stuff. Inspection would probably be a bitch but I've got the hookup for that.

Re: Retro S10 pics

15 X 8 Cragar Smoothies. The tires are Gateway 205/75/15. They are actually some NOS tires that are pretty old. I pretty much built the truck around those tires after I found them in the back room at my parents tire shop. When I pulled them out they were NASTY. The blue stuff that protects the white wall had soaked in and turned hard. I had to DA the whole sidewall and now they look brand new again.

Also, thanks for all the good comments.

Re: Retro S10 pics

Here's a little more info on the truck. It's the O'Reilly special. Base model with a bench seat, rubber floor, no power windows/locks. Had A/C but no more which sucks. 4.3 V6 with auto trans.. It's exactly what I wanted and was actually really hard to find. The base model fits the stripped down style I like.

I've got a chrome grill and new bumper/valance on the way. Also have a peep mirror to install after I pull the stock mirrors. Shaving the tail lights and putting in '39 Ford blue dot tail lights when I get the chance.

Re: Retro S10 pics

I've got some black steel wheels with chrome bullet caps to swap out for the winter time. I'm all about the 15's because I just roll the big ass tires. LOL

Re: Retro S10 pics

Here's a couple pics from Show Me Showdown this weekend. I've got my new chrome grill and bumper on and new mirror with fillers. It was the first show I've actually entered a vehicle. It was a hot SOB.

Re: Retro S10 pics

Here is some photos as of 8/6/08. I didn't like the way my tank and valves were set up so I was going to redo them. One thing led to another and now I have all new valves ordered.

I also got my tailgate redone and in white sealer as well as the dent above my gas door.

I would have to disagree. Wide whites look good when the steelies are painted to match the truck color like yours.

His truck is white with chrome steelies so I think the whites are just the perfect thickness for this application.
