eh, its all in preparation for the future. later i plan to do a 3 or 4 link setup and probly body drop. im going for the classic muscletruck/NHRA funny car look. those arent minitubs either... full out aluminum sidepanel to backseat tubs. had to keep the back seats cuz i have to fit a carseat for my 14 month old.

once i redo the suspension im going with a shorter axel and maybe 11" tires to push a 350sb. but this is way in the future. its not even paid off yet...

i love the look of the fat/thick tires on the back and before i tubbed it i was stuck with a max of 5" drop in rear due to tire rub. now there is no rub. my issue now is driveshaft rub... gonna throw a leaf back on each side and that should fix that.

next project is the schwitzer 3lm-39 i have to hook up (remote install)

i love those rims too mayhem, im surprised those 295 fit. whats your rims bs? 5.5? if they were any taller of a tire you would deff rub though. (and i hope the "wtf" is cuz they look alike, lol)

and hrspwr454, your truck looks bad-a, too. watch out for the parking blocks in parking lots, i lost my valance once that way, lol. just my PO, of course you dont have to listen but i think your back wheels sit in kinda far. some fatter tires would fix that.

and just for laughs, heres a pic i photochopped about 2 years ago when it was almost stock. at the time i only had a 3/3 drop and the firestone indy's on it. (holy shart ive had those tires forever...) this is what i wanted it to look like, minus the sidepipes of course, those were because someone on here asked what it would look like.

Thanks! I've been thinking about getting a different set of caps just to switch it up a little every now and then. Was thinking probably a set of baby moons or a set of the "disc brake" caps. Here's a couple updated pics with the truck dropped a little more (currently 4/5, was 2/2 before):

Shaved tails, gate handle, and added '41 Chevy tails. Grant rollpan and frenching buckets for the tails coming soon:

And I've got train horns too

I've been tempted to get a set of semi horns as well. Trying to talk my wife into letting me put a set of these on her Saturn

yea my front valance clears with about 1/16 of and inch to spare with parking blocks. have hit one yet haha.
but as far as the wheels being in to far, i agree. im gonna get some spacers for the rear, and if my dakota wheels and tires dont sell, im gonna put my 10 inch wide tires on the rear.

damn that is close! I think I'll stick to 9 inches or so. nothing like a blown out rear tire to put a damper on the day

Re: pic request: S10 on Corvette Rally Wheels

looks good blks10kid. i cant get that close till i get rid of my leaf springs. im hard pressing to fit 11's right now with a 5.5" bs. but us blazer guys have the leafpack between the frame and the tire. how about a side shot. i wanna see how the tire looks on the rim.

Re: pic request: S10 on Corvette Rally Wheels

uNsPoiLd, they have a 4" b.s. and yes, if it was a 7" drop it would rub, with that 6" drop i would have had to roll the inner lip. they are wheels of my dads project car, i was just bored and wanted to see them on there. and i thought mini tubbing was when you just put tubs in, didnt narrow the rear end and stuff? either way, looks good.

Re: pic request: S10 on Corvette Rally Wheels

Hey I am going to buy some original corvette rallys tomorrow and there the powder coated grey ones, but i have a black and silver sdime and i want them to be black. do most of you just paint them with spray paint or do you go and get em powdercoated because i checked on the price and it was like $250 just to powdercoat 4 wheels and another $200 for gloss but im thinking i want them flat black, thanks...

Re: pic request: S10 on Corvette Rally Wheels

I had my wheels powdercoated by a friend for $30/ea. Most places charge about $50-$60/ea for powdercoat from what I've seen. A rattlecan job with some effort put into it can look pretty good for a little while, but it doesn't have the long term durability of powder. It'd be a good option if you're strapped for cash though.
