Re: On the Back Burner
Eleanor is a 1971 Mustang Fastback. (made to look like a 1973 Mach 1 for the film) You posted a pic of that lame gay riced-out Mustang from the lame remake. In no way can that Queerstang compare to the real Eleanor. This is Eleanor: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That riced Mustang you posted from the remake coudn't do anything like that. That's all real, no lame-ass shltty CGI driving. Even after all that stunt work, the car is still going strong today: ![]() The ricey bodykit on that Queerstang you think is badass would crack and fall off if you don't pamper it (I know first hand). The Queerstang from the remake should never be given the name Eleanor. Nor should it have even been called a Shelby. It's a disgrace to both names. |

Re: On the Back Burner
It was re-edit into a new version called deadline: Auto Theft in 83. Eleanor made a cameo appearance in the follow-up film called The Junkman in 82. She would probally have been in the 4th film, Gone In 60 Seconds 2, but it was never fully finished due to the accdent that killed HB Halicki (the creator, director, star, driver of all the 60 Seconds films) in 89. Even though it was never fully finished, the two main chase scenes that were shot have been edited together by his wife to release it as a mini film on DVD. The car is a 71 Mustang. It was dressed up to look like a 73 Mustang Mach 1. |
