Re: My turn to show off
thank you. i have absolutly no clue what to do on the inside. Thats what my truck is really lacking right now. i'm not going to do any color matched plastics, thats too "rice" for me. maybe recover some things in like a black leather or something? idk...

Re: My turn to show off
ok, more pictures. ive only had the truck back for 1.5 weeks, it keeps looking different.
had a little visitor last night ![]() ![]() i found out that the impact strip comes off of my old valance so i threw it on to cover the wholes in the bumper. i think i like it, it sure helps the front a lot. it looked amazing out in the sun today. ![]() ![]() ![]() i think i found my new favorite angle. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() let me find some pictures of how bad this used to be ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by cpolaris502 : 08-24-2008 at 08:41 PM. |

Re: My turn to show off
looks really sweet cory.
now just figure out your front end and your goood to go on the outside! as for interior.. i like the stock look of interiors usually, just re wrapped in a different material. the only interior parts that look ok painted to match the outside IMO are the door cups, and dash bezel. speaker grills, vents, fuse box cover n shit look ricey to me. |

Re: My turn to show off
Cory, you're Blaze certainly looks damn good! To really make it though, I still think you should upgrade the grill to the newer style like mine and Chris'. That old grill just looks so 80's. LOL
As for interior paint, I don't believe in it at all. Keep it all original if anything. However, I am going to be doing something different with my interior eventually. I don't think it's been done yet (at least I haven't seen it yet on this forum or any other or on CarDomain) and will give it a really nice upper-scale European look, using 98% OEM parts no less! The 2% that will be swapped out will be the front seats, but will still look the part. ![]() |

Re: My turn to show off
^lol^
i agree with you on that Chris, on what parts look OK to be painted. I like what i have done so far, my center console and door cups are gloss black. I think it looks good with the charcoal interior, it looks terrible when people go overboard with the painting. if i did change stuff up i would keep all of the stock parts and just change the appearence of them. black leather wouldnt look too bad i dont think, maybe some kind of a 2 tone. i want to get the 95-97 blazer bucket front seats because they aren't as tall. |

Re: My turn to show off
x2^ painted interiors are poo.
I like the comfort and quiet of a stock interior (or mostly stock), not too busy, not to bright, sedate, comfortable. |

Re: My turn to show off
Here's some new pictures for you guys. I've been driving it every single day so far, I put over 5,000 miles on it already since Ive had it back.
I got some cool led license plate lights. After a few weeks they already blew a fuse or something though. There is no power back at the lights and all of the fuses are good? ![]() ![]() Then i had RE-7's in the front for a week, but they were rubbing on my lower control arms so i pulled them back out until i do some work on the arms this winter. ![]() Then made the bracket and installed my Sanden 508. This thing is awesome. ![]() And with the help of Acehaag, installed some C6 corvette rotors. He made the brackets for them. ![]() ![]() ![]() And most recently, i put my back seats in. I had to redo a section of the floor. ![]() ![]() ![]() Heres some tonight pictures. ![]() ![]() |

Re: My turn to show off
You should paint the impact strip and valance body color...
I've watched the entire transformation of your truck, and I must say that I'm very impressed with the end result. You should be stupid proud of what you've done - its not something that a lot of us will ever get to do! |

Re: My turn to show off
thanks a lot guys, i appreciate the good words. It amazes me too with what i've done and where i came from with it. I bought the truck and had 0 knowledge about building a mini truck and never ever would have guessed that i would have it in the condition that it is in now. I do feel really good about it considering my age and that its my first truck, and that ive done all of the work.
