My truck's progress - lot of pics

Thought I'd finally post a thread for the progress of my truck. It's now made up of parts from various trucks, and modded on a budget.

Here it is stock, in all it's glory. You can't tell, but the driver's side bed wheel well was rusted out, but other than that it looked pretty good overall.

One night, I decided to kick it sideways after I slowed down and turned onto a back road, bad idea. Hit a gaurd rail, and the next day driving to work, my hood blew up and smashed my windshield. I bought a new windshield and fender and kept on truckin'.

Fast forward a few months to when I started modding the truck. The first thing I did was buy a fiberglass tonneau cover ($150)

I was on Craigslist one day and found a matching bed, tailgate, bumper, and doors for $350 total. This picture was when I picked it all up, I drove 3 hours with no bed to get my new one.

Searching craigslist again for some rims, and came across a set of 17" wheels and tires for $300

Then, I bought a Street Scene valance and made my own grille insert ($90)

After searching for a drop kit, I came across this 3/4 drop for $50. I was told they were 4 cyl coils, but they were for a v6, so I ordered a set of ground force coils from Summit and shocks for a total of $120. I sold the C-notch and coils for $80, so I had $90 in the overall drop kit.

After that came about, Mike_dd87 asked if I wanted his train horns. I ended up trading him a 2000w amp and $50 for his horns and compressor, and I borrowed a tank from Mark.

Here is the sound system that I have, right now a 600w Rockford amp powering a JL sub, which will be changed soon - $60 for everything, including wiring and head unit

3 weeks ago or so, I went to the junkyard and picked up these seats from a 2000 Bravada and the console from an '02 blazer, along with a lot of other interior pieces, $125 total. I then found good carpet from a '95 s10 and snatched it up for another $20. I sold most of the interior that I replaced and made a lot of my money back.

Just last week, I finally got around to putting the new coils and shocks in, along with urethane bushings, and this is how it sits right now. It turns out, my tonneau cover dropped the rear about 2" from the weight of it, so my truck only sits an inch higher in the rear.

I plan on leveling out the rear next weekend and then it's going in the shop to get it all the same color blue in 2 or 3 weeks. Taking into consideration the cost-to-mods ratio, I think it looks pretty good for now - I still need to put my new doors on though.

I lost one of my center cap retainers, and I can't get any new ones because they stopped importing them into America! I love the wheel though. Is that the truck you are taking to KIOM?

Re: My truck's progress - lot of pics

Yeah, it said EAR.. it was the only one they had when I first got my tags. I ordered new ones last year and got DZR. My tags expired last month so Im thinking about a personalized plate. $75 per year is ownage though.

Anywho, I dropped my truck off for paint about an hour ago

I was supposed to get my truck back on Thursday, but he still doesn't have it done yet So, I'll either be rolling up in a Neon or a Corrolla, but I'll be there

Re: My truck's progress - lot of pics

Little update, picked the truck up from paint last night, and installed my fog lights this morning. This week, I'll be doing a little more in preperation of the meet, and post some more/better pics after I am finished.
