84 Katana 750 "pop up" (in the process of being restored, and re-painted... eek), and a couple of my 83 Seca 650 Cafe Racer.

With the Old Bars (above pic has clipon's, R6 master & clutch, stainless lines, lower headlight... etc):

Heres my sporty and my dads heritage soft tail springer from a week or so after I picker her up...

She now has exhaust, tank bra, removed belt guards. Will soon have; chopped and lowered front fender, chopped rear fender, and internally wired Z bars... pics will be soon.

Thats the plan; old school bobber look with the reliability of a new bike... oh and power to back it. This winter it will be getting a 1250CC big bore kit, built buell XB1 heads, flowed and cam matched, adjustable push rods, billet one off trap door for the tranny, fully dyno tuned and a custom fuel mapping for the EFI. Should be about 110hp to the rear wheel. My goal is more power then my 2.2... out of half the displacement haha.

nice... i'm still stuck between buying an older one (i have my eye on a '77) or getting a newer one with EFI.

Re: Motorcycle Pics

Blackesdime, if your going to be getting into it deep (weld on hard tail and the whole shabang), go with an older bike. The efi bikes get expensive quick when it comes to making power, but they have a TON of potential too. Hell they make the most power any of the 883/1200's ever have out of the box. Also when modding/chopping you have a shit ton of wires to deal with along with the decently sized ECM stuck under the seat on the rear fender. How ever there are already (in the 2 years the efi's have been on the sporties) a bunch of nasty old school styled bobbers, I've even seen a couple efi's with a weld on hard tail. Check out www.XLforum.net theres tons of information on there.

rolemodel, good to hear that im not out of my mind with that goal lol.

Re: Motorcycle Pics

Thats not too bad of a deal if the bikes solid. Pretty much any decent ridable sporty goes for $5000. And man do those old ironhead 1000's sound good. I almost bought my cousins '83 iron head for $2500 before I found my bike, I just couldn't pass up the deal on a '07 with just over 400 miles for $6K.

Re: Motorcycle Pics

the bike was lowerd and my brother wasnt big enough to bring it back up on a corner and a semi was pulling out of his drive way and jake (brother) hit the back corner of it and he was thrown between the wheel and the wheel well and threw him out the back of it about 20 feet and to top it off he was conscious and seen his knee cap fly out and when he landed on his femur and 7 inchs scraped off. he has surgery ever 2 days to clean it out and he will probly end up with a left leg that wont bend
